Joe is so great! He is very sociable and the haircut was great. He even washes your hair mid-cut! Not to mention the bubblegum he gives out. Couldn't recommend more.

I was so lucky to get taken in for a walk-in buzz-cut instantly without scheduling an appointment ahead of time. I was fortunate he washed all the excess hair away after cutting my hair so when I left I was able to continue conducting business in the city! He wasn't to rough, & really treated me like family! The area surrounding the shop is also quite pleasent & rather walkable!

Going to Joe's is a refreshing step back in time! I've been trying to find a traditional barber shop for years, and this is the one. Joe does a great job with the scissors, the clippers and the stories!! I have gotten a lot of comments on the Santa beard since Joe trimmed it! I intend to become a regular!!

The atmosphere is casual and welcoming and there always is plenty of great discussion. Joe is a pleasant guy who always makes me feel like an important client. I started working nearby, and for that work I needed to keep clean and look sharp. I don't have the best head of hair to work with to start. Joe's near, so I made an appointment and sat in. I saw the negative reviews, but it was just two and they looked like outliers to me. What can I say? Joe did the trick. I went in looking like a belonged up in the Appalachians in a tin shed somewhere, feverishly writing a manifesto, to a decent looking professional. I don't look like I own the place, but I do look like I might be buying. Those bad reviews, I gotta think they confused this with some other place. The energy in the place was nothing but calm and welcoming, and Joe's a good guy. I've set up my next appointment already to make sure I can get back in here when I need to. Best praise I can give, I think.
