I've been going to The Hair Studio for more than 15 years. The owner, Janette, is very professional and experienced. I tell her how I want my hair and she consistently delivers excellence every single time. She has saved me on more than one occasion.

Ive been going to tthe hair studio for more than 10 years. The owner Janette is very Profesional. Love her work. She don't waist her time. I can't complain about her work, always happy and satisfied

I am very late in writing this review. My mother has been hassling me to write a review, in case their is another lady that is olive skinned tone with dark brown hair and hesitating to go copper. I had a wonderful experience. First off , when my sister called to make my appointment on January 10,2021, the salon was closing soon. However, Janette still took me and stayed until about 8:30pm working on my hair non-stop. I recently moved to the area and eagerly wanted to color my hair copper for many years. While I had been to many salons throughout the years in hope to reach this color , I had been unsuccessful. I also can be frugal when it come to hair or cosmetology but since I really wanted this color for the year, I was ready to go all in. Honestly, I didn't know what to expect since I haven't been able to reach this desired color in the past and I've always heard this is one of the fastest colors to fade. However , Janette Matos did a wonderful job and I've finally succeeded in getting the color I've been wanting. While being in the salon, I didn't ask if she could color my eyebrows , since I know it is illegal in some states and already she had been working so hard on my hair. My dark eyebrows with the new hair color did bother me so a few days later , I dyed it myself. I will post a couple of pictures from the night my hair color changed until now( It really is pretty much the same, based on lightning , the last weeks ,may look less bright). I really haven't washed my hair because I am afraid the hair color will go away( I really love it ). Overall, I really am so thankful & pleased with the results. If you are thinking of going this color, I definitely & absolutely reccomend this hair studio on 4th street. Thank you again.

I've been getting my hair cut with Shanice since I found this salon. She is truly a talented stylist who is able to cut my hair based on the pictures or videos I show her! She is very friendly, kind and also efficient as well. Will continue to be her client!

I have been coming here for several years now & Janet is always on point! She does EXACTLY what I tell her to do & I always get many compliments on her work. I refuse to go elsewhere, if she’s not available, I rather wait for her! Make your appointment, you won’t be disappointed!

I have been going to The hair Studio on 4th for 26 years. I have been happy with everything I have ever gotten . The owner is accommodating and if your not happy with something she bends backward to give you the results your looking for . Great prices and very caring and consciousness about her work and she tries to. Make sure her staff does the same.

I usually go the Anai's on West Broad, but they were closed on Good Friday and this is the only weekend I'd be home prior to my college graduation. I came here because it was convenient. I asked for less than 3 inches and no layers, as long as it didn't look totally flat on the bottom. When I was done my hair the went down to my butt is now 3 inches below my shoulders. At least 8 inches off easily. On top of that I had the most butchered layers I have ever seen. I was clearly upset and they did not do anything to try and fix it. She still charged my for the worst haircut i have ever received. Thankfully the owner at least tried to make it look like I didn't get a haircut with a chain saw, but now I'm 8 inches shorter and couldn't be more upset. I wish I could post pictures for proof on my phone. Never coming here again.
