Palo Verde Spa & Apothecary

I was very happy with the pedicure I received yesterday at the spa. I believe it was Courtney that took care of me. I’m bad with names so I apologize if I am wrong. Regardless she took very good care of me while my daughters were getting massages. She was professional, pleasant and very good at the pedicure. It was my first time in a spa setting. The spa is large. Everything was clean and nice. The resort is beautiful and the setting very relaxing. I would do it again. In addition to the pedicure the guests are able to enjoy the sauna, the outdoor hot tub and other very relaxing amenities. It was nice.

Absolutely LOVED my service with Dani. I did the scrub with an added on 30 min express massage. The spa space is a bit smaller than other Scottsdale spas, but intimate, quiet, and relaxing. I will definitely do it again.

Came here for a crystal perfume making class on my birthday. The class instructor was so sweet and well informed about the perfume making process. The spa is huge and a very clean facility. Free parking lot available. I suggest booking in advance as all their other classes such as yoga. Pasta making. Perfume and pool class fill up quickly. The classes are available for non hotel guests as well

Bad service and small. Upon entering the spa, my friend had to wait 10 minutes to check-in while someone took a phone call. We then went to the main pool where we waited for service, had to finally get up, walk all the way to the spa front desk in our bathing suits to place a food order and the girl was just on her phone and said "oh i forgot." Then because the spa system and the food system are separate, I had then to go back to my locker to get a credit card. Not relaxing at all. She brought our food and no one ever checked on us again. There is only one small set of lockers and a bench, so all guests are in one tiny space. There are only two showers which there was a wait. Only two restrooms which one didn't latch, people kept getting walked in on. No one was cleaning showers as there was hair all over wall. Cold towels for steam room were never replenished. When checking out, they ask you vocally if you want to change the 22% included tip which is inappropriate. This should be done privately on the ipad. And to do an auto 22% instead of 20% is not ok. Not impressed and won't be back. I'm a local AZ resident and the other spas in area are much better and it's an absurd price point for that spa experience.

The spa itself is very clean, the private pool view was gorgeous. The steam room was lovely and there was no one else in there when I used it. My massage however was just okay. I got a deep tissue 60 minute massage. They pulled me 2 minutes after my appointment time (11:32) and ended exactly 1 min before (12:29) so with changing and addressing my needs it was only a 50 minute massage which was disappointing. Just overall wasn’t worth the price but amenities are nice.

I spent part of the day at Palo Verde Spa following a week of personal Therapy at Psychological Counseling, also in Scottsdale. It was my gift to myself for doing the hard work, and it was what my dreams are made of! I enjoyed a lovely 60 minute massage with Mandie (who is really just the loveliest human!) swimming in the pool, and soaking up sunshine. Loved that you could order poolside and wished I were hungry. Maybe next time!

Dani is the best if you’re looking for a true deep tissue/therapeutic massage. I am so sore but have so much more mobility. She was super knowledgeable too! As for the facilities, they are immaculate! We spent the whole day between the pool/relaxation room and it was perfect. What surprised me most was how delicious the food and drinks were. We got Chipotle Garlic Hummus, which came with seasoned pita and veggies which was the perfect light meal before an intense massage. Cannot recommend Palo Verde enough, one of the most relaxing days, and easily the best massage of my life!
