Smells very bad, bunch of people gathering around inside makes it harder to shop around ,,, products not fresh the mixed nuts was bad and of course I threw it away,,, food cans very dirty and sticks you gotta wash em very good before opening a can incase of inside food is good then you lucky👎👎👎👎 spent 44$ didn’t worth it

Yadanar Halal Market services the SE Portland community offering a wide range of reasonable priced, fresh, and good quality south Asian food products. It is worth the trip if you live in the greater Portland metroplex! There is adequate parking in the front or along the side, inside the market is clean and displays are well organized. For a small - moderate sized food market, you will find an interesting diversity of south, middle, east Asian foods, treats, spices, etc. The goat and lamb meat is always fresh, good quality and consistently available. The meat counter and cutting area is kept clean. They will happily cut their reasonably priced goat and lamb to the size perfect for Nepali, Indian, or other south Asian meat dishes. Yadanar Halal Market offers Tibetan noodles, Nepali achar, Indian chutney, loose and packet coffees and teas from various locations. Many, many quality food items sold at this market are from Nepal! It is always an adventure! If I could pay with Rupees, it would feel as if I was back in Biratnagar, Nepal.

I love expanding my culinary horizons with international grocery stores. Unfortunately, when I walked in for the first time, the guy there blocked my entrance and glared into my eyes like he wanted to stare me down. He would not break from his hostile behavior and I couldn’t enter. I had to turn around and was not able to shop there. 5 minutes later it occurred to me that I was wearing a t-shirt that said om mani padme hum. I don’t know if that’s why he was so hostile, but I’ll never go there again.

What an experience to feel home away from home . This market 👌 is serving most African communities with all the spices ,generic products, fresh goat lamb meat 🍖 among others... all these products are similar to what we buy from home and this is soo fulfilling and satisfying.. I love diversity, but for food, it's hard to stay away from my staple foods, and this market is the answer to all my wants.. professional cashiers, good service, and really quick at serving everyone and helps 👍 when lost or stranded!!. I can't think of anything I lack from this shop been a kenyan woman . Yes, I recommend you visit them and be amazed at how many foods and spices they sell ,thanks 😄

Goat and lamb are great, staff needs to be a little more alert of customers, they kind of just ignore you.

Nice place for ethnic food. They have a Good basmati rice ! The gentle man there was helpful. But the smell of the organic meat almost overpowers the whole store. I wish they would use something to mask the smell or find out why the meat has that strong odour.

The meat selections where very good. The service was outstanding. I felt like home. Plus the store was clean and neat. Overall I would definitely come back again. Thank you for the best halal T-bone steak I've ever had.
