I went here terrified for my son and saw a physician named Nichole Garbie and she went above and beyond to help take care of not only my son, but my fears. I really appreciate that she allowed me to turn to her even after the appointment. Care like this just doesn't seem to be common and it says alot about her and the buisness. I will return simply for the comfort and care she provided. Nichole, thank you 1000 times over for being so amazing!
I presented to the emergency department while 12 weeks pregnant, experiencing several weeks of persistent diarrhea, significant weakness, and headaches. I sought medical care because I was concerned about my health and the well-being of my baby. I clearly explained my symptoms during registration, to the nursing staff, and again to the physician who evaluated me. During my interaction with the physician, I was repeatedly asked what my "expectations" were for the visit, with the conversation focusing almost entirely on the fact that intravenous fluids could not be provided at that facility. This was stated multiple times. No adequate medical evaluation was performed, no alternative options were offered, and my symptoms and pregnancy were not addressed in a professional or reassuring manner. This interaction made me feel dismissed, uncomfortable, and emotionally distressed, especially considering that I came seeking medical guidance and reassurance—not demanding a specific treatment. I ultimately left the facility without receiving medical help, clear guidance, or reassurance regarding my condition. I believe the care I received did not meet the standards of empathy, professionalism, and patient-centered care expected in an emergency setting, particularly for a pregnant patient. I respectfully request that this situation be reviewed to help ensure that other patients do not experience a similar situation in the future.
Besides getting bumped twice due to the receptionist choice of who was more important, regardless of knowing the medical history of who comes in, that may be in a critical position yet may not seem so. The 2 ladies at the urgent care desk decided to talk OUT LOUD about politics and and other issues that should not be addressed in front of patients. It was extremely unprofessional. Also why and how can the front desk staff have anything to do with knowing who ever comes in may be pushed to be seen more than an others? I know there are key words that can get you back faster, but they should be taking the issues back to the ones who actually know which is a more critical issue. Just because a toddler has a sad face doesn’t mean they have a bigger problem than the other person who has been waiting for a while doing their best to stay calm and not show their sickness to others and make a scene
10/17 - came in because I have an earache 2 people ahead of me they have been called back, and over 1 hour later I am still waiting. No one checked on me to let me know it would be a little longer. I checked MyChart and it shows I wasn’t checked in. Still waiting at 1 hour and 30 minutes later when online shows no wait. The people before me have already left. I checked with the staff and they said Oh sorry not sure what happened. Terrible customer service
Dr bedside manner was less than approachable. I was weak and not able to think or talk straight, but he refused to allow my significant to assist in answering questions I didn’t know the answers to. Darcy is AMAZING! You need to have her cloned!
Baby got bit last night and I ruled it as a masquito bite cause at the time, it looked like one. We saw this afternoon that it swelled up so bad. My first instinct when I’m going in to the ER is the IHC in Murray. I guess it’s habit. As I’m gathering my things to head in, my husband says, why not go to that one close to target? I thought.. oh yeah. There’s one over there. So we go. Place is neat. Was greeting was a nice smile and simple entrance questions. Was directed to the check in area and waited. After being called back and the nurse took baby’s vitals, we got into the room at 1:12 pm. Doc came in at 1:47 pm. I’m patient. But baby being 18 months, couldn’t sit still. Had to entertain baby for 35 min in the small exam room was quite the task. After her screaming so much we finally slid the door open and let her into the hallway until the nurse told us we have to stay in the exam room. Dr Paul saw us for a whole 3 minutes, if that. Our results - an ice pack. That’s really what I needed. Reassurance. Not a bad place. Would I come back? Yes.
Dr. Kevin Swanson was so kind and professional. He listened to us and spent time with us explaining the problem and course of action. Thank you, Dr. Swanson!
