Customer Reviews
VIP Restaurant has a rating of 4.1 out of 5 based on over 322 reviews on Google
VIP Restaurant is exactly the kind of low-key, hole-in-the-wall spot that I love to uncover. Quick service, zero fuss, and seriously generous portions made this an easy win. From ordering to food hitting the table, everything moved fast, which I appreciated. The portions were huge, easily enough for leftovers later, and everything tasted fresh and satisfying. It's the perfect place when you want something comforting, filling, and efficient without sacrificing quality. If you're in Anchorage and craving Korean food, don't overlook VIP Restaurant. Come hungry, expect fast service, and plan on taking some home with you. Hidden gem status fully earned.
VIP is hands-down one of my favorite spots in Anchorage! When I want South Korean food, this is the only place I go. I absolutely love this place—especially the hot pot, which is the best I’ve had in town. It’s also the only place I’ve found that serves proper banchan in Anchorage, which makes it even more special. Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or dining with a big group, it’s a perfect fit. The food is consistently delicious, and there’s something extra satisfying about when the rice gets crispy on the bottom—so good! Portions are generous too; I always leave with leftovers and I’m never mad about it. Can’t recommend it enough!
Korean VIP is definitely the best and most authentic Korean food in Anchorage. Those reviews which are complaining about service don't realize you are also getting an authentically non-American customer service experience 🙂 In all seriousness, this place has killer stone pot bibimbap, lots of seafood, and more and higher quality banchan than I've seen at any other Korean place. (Other places serve maybe 5 or 6; I get 7-10 every time I go here.) I especially recommend the rice cakes with beef!
First time eating Korean food and it was simply delicious! We order a bunch of things that I couldn’t name lol but I got you some photos for reference. The place was quiet and calmed, plenty of space and the service was good. I would go back cause this place deserves you to try the whole menu.
10/12- Many reviews warn that the service isn't the best. They're right. It isn't. The lady was arguing with two men when we walked in. In defense of the restaurant they have no help. Keep this in mind because we spent almost two hours. You walk in and they give you tea. We don't drink tea so we had to ask for water twice. The lady seemed upset. The food is delicious and worth the wait. Be patient and enjoy the flavor. The 4 🌟 on service is for acting like we were asking for too much. She gave all her customers dirty looks like it was never going to end. I hope she can get rest.
The food here was absolutely great! My bf got the bulgogi and I got the dumpling soup. Both were super delicious along with the banchan served. Service was okay as the lady was super nice but just didn’t check up on us that often. I still recommend going!
One of the lousiest Korean restaurants I've been too. Service is unfriendly and hurried. Hardly pays attention to guests. The seafood pancake looked old and appeared reheated. Crumbled when picked up and tasted granular. I ordered the pan fried octopus and it was not worth $20.99. Totally dissatisfied. Husband's bolgogi was ok. The banchan was good. I would not recommend this restaurant to friends who love real Korean food. Jinmi and Korean Garden have better quality.
