I came to the hospital due to low SpO₂ readings on my FDA-approved home pulse oximeter and severe chest pain. The waiting room was very dirty and disorganized, and I had to wait several hours before being seen. Once I was eventually moved to a room, the machines used to monitor my heart rate and oxygen saturation were not connected for most of my stay. This hospital demonstrated a lack of ethical and responsible care. It is not possible to accurately monitor oxygen levels or heart rate when the monitoring equipment is not connected. I requested a test where oxygen is measured during exertional because my symptoms worsen with physical activity, but this request was refused.

Was admitted yesterday morning with a broken leg. Staff was very friendly and efficient. Had x-rays taken, surgery performed, and was on my way home within 12 hours. Every nurse and doctor I spoke to was accommodating, caring, and knowledgeable. What could have been a horrible day, was only kind of a bummer so thank you to everyone I interacted with yesterday.

The most incredible, kind and compasssionate staff..two times in a row. Our oldest contines to play hard and has had two head splits in the last 6 months and as we left this last time, he told me had FUN and wanted to work with our doctor when he grew up. The waiting room was packed, but the admin, EMT staff, etc remained engaged and heplful. All of the nurses were kind and took time to make sure we had what we needed throughout the visit and the doctor provided clear options and guidance while also making our kid feel calm and encouraged. The EMT gentleman on staff spent some extra time with him to make the visit anything but boring. They made a bad night as good as it was going to get..two times in a row. God bless our hospitals- expecially this one!

If I could give zero stars, I would. My experience with this hospital has been mixed. My elderly father with altzheimers was brought in to the ER and that encounter was wonderful. They were efficient and caring. The ER is excellent. But that's where the wonderful stops. After being admitted, we have had nothing but stress and incompetence. We've not spoken to a doctor until today, the nurses are understaffed and seem indifferent. And to add to the stress...he was moved to different rooms 3 times in a week and we were NEVER notified. And one of those times, they didn't know where he went! Imagine our anger and distress and disbelief in not finding our loved one where we left him and nobody seemed to care. I will never bring a family member to this hospital again and I will never recommend this place to anyone

I have been in U OF M Health West - Metro hospital professional building- for outpatient procedures 3 times in the last year, and I have had All EXCELLENT experiences. Every staff member I encountered has given me great communication, with compassionate, calm, relaxed and very enjoyable demeanor with all our interactions! Thankyou for your excellent job, everyone!

WTH happened to this place?! Seems like this hospital is Trinity Health - Muskegon in disguise. My father-in-law had a severe issue last night and we came to the hospital as fast as we could today. We wanted to see his own doctor and asked a bunch of questions. We arrived to his room right at noon. My brother-in-law arrived soon after. We waited. No one showed up. We asked again and the RN stated that they only do virtual meetings with his doctor and he’ll check to see when they will come. No one showed up. Not one doctor. We had to leave at 3:30 and race home before the kids get off the bus. My brother-in-law stayed until 5 and no one showed up then. Great job U of M Health. If I could give 0 stars I would. To save you headaches, stress and anxiety; stay away from here, Trinity, (especially Muskegon) and go somewhere else

Extremely pleased with the level of care, compassion, and support that was given to our family as we welcomed a new addition (our grandson) to our family. Morgan and Jocelyn were the best Nurses. Their bed side manner was impeccable!! Thanks again Morgan for going the extra mile. I highly recommend University of Michigan Health-West for all of your health care needs for labor and delivery. The staff is amazing!!!
