I almost did not come to this store because of the reviews. However, I went today because the foundation I normally use ran out & the brand discontinued it. As a brown girly, I run into issues of finding the perfect foundation for my skin because I have cool undertones, not warm. This beautiful girl named Teran, took me over to morphee, and she tried one.It was a little gray, we agreed on that, and so she went to a different one. She put it on me.I asked if it oxidized, she said, yeah, I walked around the store for 5 minutes. When I tell you, I looked in the mirror was like, oh my god, i'm buying it. I have had numerous people. Even people, my color try to match me and still failed to match me. This lady got me right and I had only been in the store for maybe 10 minutes. She knew what she was doing and I am so grateful for people like her.

This might be a pity review but i think that others should be aware because this has happened twice to me. I stopped by to purchase a foundation and I noticed that there was a "free item" with purchase. I get to the register, I paid for my items, and then I placed an online item. As I am stepping out the door, I noticed that I didn't get the "free gift". I went back and mentioned it to the cashier; and right away she told me they were out of the "free items". I don't know why she didn't tell me before, or even before I left the store about them being out of the "free item". The cashier said that if I call customer service, I would get my gift along with my online order. My online order arrived, but the "free item" was not there. I called customer service and they tell me that I need to go to the store, and that they are going to give me my 'free item', I go to the store and I tell them that I didn't get my free item with my order as I was told would happen. The cashier tells me to call customer service and that they would take care of it. I am annoyed at this time. Not all free gifts are worth it, but this one was. I tell the cashier all the steps I had taken to get the freaking free gift. She said that they were out of them, and the free gift is "while supply lasts". Ok, that is great, in that case, remove the 'free gift' sign as soon as you are out them, and do not send your customers on a useless journey, they could have told me this the first day.

The staff are very friendly courteous and helpful. Very nice ladies in this store. Manager that was on duty was also very nice. The store is clean and they do whatever they can to help their customers. You can get your hair done there as well. Prices seem to very reasonable for their products.

I had such a pleasant experience at Ulta on Black Friday. Emily gave me great makeup tips and helped me find the perfect foundation brush and setting powder. She was kind, patient, and so helpful. Ysabella was warm, welcoming, and attentive. She and made the whole shopping experience feel smooth despite the holiday rush.

This store has always been frustrating to shop at, but yesterday was the final straw. I understand employees are doing their job, but customers should be able to browse without being treated like suspects. While we were shopping, police were called for an actual shoplifting incident. We checked out normally, no alarm went off, and as we were leaving, the police stopped us and said they thought our car was involved. It seems like they weren’t even trying to track the ACTUAL suspects, I saw multiple employees looking out the front window after they ran out. You would think that they would know where they went but no, and suddenly it was our car? I’m sure those shoplifters were long gone and those employees didn’t keep track??? You expect me to believe that? We were literally paying customers minding our business. Being stopped and questioned for no reason after checking out was uncomfortable and unacceptable. This location clearly has issues with how situations are handled. I won’t be returning—avoid this Ulta and go to the one in Litchfield instead. They don’t racially profile you or try to frame you of a crime instead of catching the ACTUAL shoplifters.

I’ve been a longtime Ulta customer, but the experience my 17-year-old stepdaughter had at this location was extremely disappointing. She tried to use a $25 gift card she received for her birthday, and a seasonal employee (logged in under someone else’s ID) mishandled the card and destroyed the barcode. She was then told she had to pay out of pocket for her items. As a minor, she was embarrassed and confused, and this completely ruined what should have been a simple birthday shopping trip. I contacted the store, and the manager reviewed the video footage and confirmed the employee error. However, she said the store could not make it right and directed me to Ulta Corporate. Corporate still has not resolved the issue. They required excessive verification even though the store had already confirmed the mistake on video. Their follow-up contained visible AI placeholders, which made it clear my complaint wasn’t actually read. My stepdaughter still has not been refunded, she has no replacement gift card, and no goodwill gesture has been offered. As a small business owner and senior PR professional, I understand how critical proper service recovery is. This has been the opposite. My stepdaughter had to spend her own money because of an Ulta employee’s mistake, and despite multiple escalations, we still have no meaningful response. Because this issue involves a minor, confirmed employee mishandling, and a lack of resolution after several attempts, I have now filed formal complaints with both the Better Business Bureau and the Arizona Attorney General. I hope Ulta addresses the training issues at this location and improves their customer service processes, especially for younger customers who rely on staff to guide them.
