The worst dermatology clinic ever; one doctor serves a ton of patients, and waiting is pointless.
Incredible customer service and care! Thank you to the office staff for getting me an appointment so quickly, and to Dr. Prasad who was one of the most attentive doctors I've ever had. He took the time to listen and to thoroughly investigate to give me answers to my condition. He was very responsive to all my questions long after my appointment and even helped me navigate treatments at a different practice in a location better for me. I can't say enough about this team. Thank you!
Very disappointed in the level of service provided for billing. I have been a patient receiving cosmetic laser treatments to correct a port wine stain for several months. From the first consultation I was advised insurance would "probably not" cover the treatments. No one ever bothered to send a preauthorization to my insurance to determine if they would or wouldn't cover. I paid out of pocket for many months. After speaking with my insurance company, i was told that depending on the bill codes used, my treatments could be covered. I requested the prior treatments be sent for review to my insurance company. Instead, a bill was submitted for treatments I didn't even receive on a day that I paid out of picket for regular treatment that I usually get. Now I am left with a balance of more than 2 thousand dollars they refuse to remove. After many months of back and forth, they are threatening to send me to collections for bill codes of treatment I never received. Hours spent on the phone to rectify the issue only for someone to call me back from billing months later with a gross and derogatory attitude. They are not interested in helping, only clearing balances from their books. Completely unethical
I made an appointment, waited over 6 months to get in. Then with no call back, or anything, got a letter in the mail that said " unfortunately your appointment has to be cancelled, call back if you want to reschedule " excuse me? First of all, HORRIBLE customer care. You can’t even call the patient to explain what’s going on and help them reschedule? As it was, it took FOREVER to try and even get an appointment because no one bothers to answer the phone. We went out of network because my husband waited over 6 months to get into UF Derm, and reason for scheduling was he had a growth on his leg that as getting larger and larger. Turns out, it was melanoma. It tripled in size while we waited for UF appointment, we could have caught it earlier when it was smaller, but thanks to UF, it got to the size of a dime, turned cancerous, so did the muscle and skin surrounding the lump, so he had to get surgery on it removing a ton of skin and muscle with stitches. And had to pay out of pocket over 1,000 bucks, when we could have gone in network and paid a $15 copay…. AVOID this place at all cost!
I’ve been seeing Stephanie Anuszewski, PA, and she’s one of the best doctors I’ve ever had. Takes tons of time with me, and never makes me feel rushed, which is so hard to find in a doctor. She’s always so nice, and even more importantly, she gave me great treatment that actually solved my problems. In terms of the office, I’ve always been taken back almost immediately for my appointment, and have been treated kindly by everyone I’ve interacted with. I’ll update this if I ever end up having problems there, but so far, they’ve been great!
Where should I start? First off I have been extremely patient and easy going even after University Of Florida Physicians Derm canceling several appointments. My daughters first appointment was scheduled a month out in advance, two days before the appointment the receptionist called said they had to cancel the appointment with no reason as to why. Ok no big deal my daughter was then rescheduled for the same appointment for the second time which was then canceled an hour before the appointment due to them changing the provider she was supposed to see supposedly they were no longer there. She was then rescheduled for a third time well, that was canceled also due to doctor being sick. I understand that people and doctors get sick but all the other cancellations are so unprofessional never have I had so many cancellations and from the same office. I have been nothing but understanding and patient through this whole ordeal. She was rescheduled for a fourth time but I let them know that if this appointment falls through that unfortunately I will have to find another office that can see us. Now we get to the point where I’m writing this, after checkout you get a slip "cadence scheduling" visit type etc. on the paper it says quote on quote "mother of child furious had to cancel appt. this is the third time it has been canceled due to provider illness." Really? I was furious? Not in the least. Not only are you guys unprofessional in the scheduling department you all apparently like to slap false labels on your patients. I’m now known for being the "furious mom" because god forbid we get canceled for a fourth time we’ll go to another office. Well we won’t be going there again.
My first appointment was set for four and half months later than the day I called. They scheduled me another appointment to see the progress after the first one. They canceled and rescheduled. Finally, another doctor was assigned to me and just said I think we made a good progress so next time you can call-in for refills:)
