Terry M. Jones, MD

This review is for the office processes/systems, not Dr. Jones. My husband has seen Dr. Jones before and was very happy with him. I decided to see him for a general check. We live in the boonies, an hour or more from any specialist, so I made back-to-back appointments for both of us. When I called, I was told I needed pre-authorization from my insurance, and the doctor's office would request that. Yesterday, I got a text message asking me to check-in online. This morning, I got another text with a reminder of my appointment. When we arrived this morning, I was told that they had not received authorization from my insurance. The receptionist told me that she calls patients to confirm when she DOES receive authorization, but not when she does NOT. I called the insurance company then, and they said they never received a request for it! Beyond the failure to request authorization (anyone can make a mistake), they have two major problems in their processes: 1. Patients for whom they do NOT receive insurance clearance are the ones that should be called (or both)! 2. A patient who's not received authorization should not receive a confirmation of their appointment the next day, let alone 2 confirmations! I lost a morning of work because of their office disorganization and will NOT be back. (At least I had a couple of hours in the car to visit with my hubby. If I'd driven 2 hours round trip solely for my self, I would've been REALLY pissed.)

Dr. Jones is personable, very thorough and knowledgeable. I always feel that he has my best interests at heart and is very careful when offering a plan of action. I have known him since 1963 when we were at A&M Consolidated High School together. He was one of the good guys then and a great dermatologist now. I trust him completely.

I saw Dr. Jones years ago and just visited him yesterday after so many years. Dr. Terry Jones is amazing. He's as wonderful now as he was back in the day. He's very knowledgeable, and on point. The Best ever! Y'all schedule an appointment, he doesn't disappoint. 💯💯

Dr Jones and his team are wonderful. My husband and I are both patients and feel safe knowing they have our best interest at heart. Thank you Dr Jones and team for providing excellent service every time.

Dr jones is the best a few years ago I had an infected cyst on my back I went to him to have it removed and he did a great job I recommend him

My husband is Dr. Jones' patient. We are happy with his service. He always gives us good advice and my husband. His staff is nice and friendly.

I have used Terry Jones for years. I found he has a new partner/group, from Austin, on last visit. Really don’t know the details of his new company. He has increased his fees with out telling his customers. I told them a realistic invoice for service rendered. Instead they sent my to collection. I really think the new group try to overcharge insurance companies and pressure customers to pay the remainder. DO NOT TRUST THEM FIND ANOTHER Dermatologist.
