Staropolska Restaurant

What a treasure! A beautiful European styled restaurant and bar with a fantastic selection of traditional Polish dishes. Excellent service (I believe her name was Ira) and outstanding food. The only disappointment? We didn’t leave room for dessert!

Have not had good Polish food in quite a long time- this spectacular restaurant certainly made up for any distant memories. Smashingly delicious- the food, the dessert; and the staff (made you feel like you were having a home cooked meal). Bravo!

Just WOW! Amazing service, food, and atmosphere! There were so many options on the menu, it was hard to choose one, so we got the platter for two which had all of our favorites and some new things to try. The menu prices are reasonable and when you consider the portions, its a great value! If I ever return to Chicago, will definitely be going here again. Very jealous of the locals who always have this option available!

This was a very authentic Polish restaurant. Everyone who worked here was extremely nice and very helpful and very attentive. I got the Schnitzel and it was probably the best one I've had in the US. My husband got the beef stroganoff with dumplings and it was also absolutely amazing. The beers were cold and delicious they felt like you were drinking them in Poland not watered down or diluted. I got a Dirty Shirley and it was absolutely perfect. I would come back here any day of the week and would definitely recommend it

Being of Polish descent the food did not disappoint. Lots of it. Service was top notch. A must place to go if you crave polish food

The soup was good. I’m a huge fan of Pierogies and, unfortunately, these were not impressive at all. Mostly because they were really bland. The service was good, but wouldn’t go for pierogies again

We got the special for two people, the mushroom appetizers, and the meat perrogi. I'm not super familiar with polish food, but this was a positive impression for sure. My favorite would have to be the mushroom perrogi, I definitly should've gotten a separate order of that instead. The atmosphere is also really nice, giving off a very homey feel. The whole place is very clean and comfortable, and well suited for a nice meetup over dinner.
