Five stars for all of my non credited classes I took for the last 4 years such as PACE (Now closed as of June 2025), and the Adult Basic Education program. They are all good classes until I started with AA degree in Medical Terminology, Communications English 101, and Human Anatomy all online. I had got above 2.0 usually just until the midterm from Fall 2025, I was sent home in tears, It was that quarter and semester that I switched to the Pharmacy Tech program (AAS). Austin wasn't as nice as I thought he is. He sent me home for no reason, he accused me of cheating when I wasn't, we made complaints and I'm never given an apology to him. I did have a talk with all the staff the Student Rights manager handled it all too well. In fact, the proctor from DAS took my notes away before I start the test, I told them I was anxious, then as it happened, the proctor stormed off and made a report thinking I was acting strange. I've been mistreated and discriminated for the wrong reasons. All I have to say is, I rated a one star for a good reason. If you have a disability, I recommend you should take classes online instead of attending in person if you want the help! Campus is a mess!! I'm getting a lawyer, So I'm better off taking more classes online here and start campus at SFCC starting all over with an AA degree. Thanks for nothing 😭

Most of these classes appear to be designed for school children and have no real instruction. It's about the same as grade school these days, they put all their assignments through a janky online program that costs almost $100 just for one term of access, auto grades everything for them, and they give no feedback. Not sure why most of the teachers even have a job when they don't do anything. Also, if someone already has an AAS degree, they probably don't need to take intro classes to learn..fractions and the basics of Microsoft word. I already took three math classes and a computing essentials class two years ago for my first degree. I'm only being forced to take them again so this school can charge me more in tuition. They wouldn't let ANY of my credits transfer over despite being recent and relevant to my current program - like how I already took two medical terminology classes that covered the Exact Same Book yet I have to take them again. Even though my previous school is manually accredited and recognized. So thanks, I'll be in extra debt because this is a fake school. Do yourself a favor, there are lots of online degree options, pick literally ANY of those. I'm only two terms into this school and I'm already thinking of switching because I'm not LEARNING anything.

I had an incredibly disappointing experience at SCC, for example: in a creative writing course with Jacob Butcher. The classroom environment was unprofessional to the point of being farcical. During a discussion involving public figures, the instructor Jacob Butcher used it as a segue to talk about The Man Show and "women jumping on trampolines." To be clear: if these comments were made at a university like Gonzaga or in any professional workplace in Washington, there would be an immediate HR investigation. It is jarring that this is considered acceptable discourse in an SCC classroom. Furthermore, the instructor canceled the final five classes of the quarter, explicitly stating he had "nothing left to cover." For a creative writing course—a subject that is literally boundless—to be cut short by weeks because the instructor ran out of material is an insult to every student paying tuition. SCC feels like a joke in general if this is the standard of instruction they permit. The student complaints process is a joke, it's red tape. Save your money and go somewhere that respects the academic process and the students' time.

Horrible school. STAY AWAY!!! If you can go somewhere else please do, They take their time and are constantly late on doing paperwork. It took them 7 months and me going in person every week for them to file a literal single piece of paper. They say one thing just so they can do another. This school also seems like it's only purpose is for instructors to have a god complex (it's complicated) but if you've gone here you'll understand. They only want your financial aid money and will talk to you like you're stupid or a child. This unfortunately is also my 3rd, 1 star review as I'm still a student there and stuck because of what they do here.

Terrible school. Some of the teachers that I've had don't really care if they teach the curriculum well and are lazy in general. The staff don't really care about the student's success and are not cooperative when presented with things that are out of a student's control. They say they're military friendly, but they really aren't.

I went into two buildings and the grounds outside the greenhouse on my most recent visit. The college is always clean, there's always plenty of hand sanitizer and face masks upon entry, and there is always ample parking. Of course this is during the summer, and during the fall it could be a different story. Everyone's friendly and willing to help when you don't know where you're going. The greenhouse entrance way and grounds are absolutely stunning. Sadly they are closed until September, the end of, and I very much look forward to getting in there when they're open. If the inside's anything like the outside, they will have some amazing stuff in there. High marks for a clean campus inside and out.

They have some nice apprentice programs for low income. Wish more places did this.
