Omakase dinner was very nice, appetizers especially so. Premium pricing but you get what you pay for. Service could have been a bit more attentive
Came here on a whim when another restaurant nearby was at capacity, and it ended up being a solid find. From the start, the service was really friendly and welcoming. We sat outside with heaters, and it was surprisingly comfortable even on a chilly December night. We ordered: • Soft shell crab roll • Blue crab California roll • Yellowtail avocado • Jumbo shrimp & vegetable tempura • Salmon skin salad Standouts for me were the yellowtail avocado roll — simple, fresh, and also one of the lower-priced rolls on the menu — and the salmon skin salad, which came in generous portions and was very shareable. The tempura was light and crispy; I’d recommend ordering two portions if you want something more filling. Overall, the food was solid across the board. Pricing skews slightly higher, likely due to the location, but portions were fair. We spent about $38 per person and left comfortably full. A great backup plan that didn’t disappoint — I’d definitely return when in the area.
My wife and I absolutely love coming here for Omakase. I have no idea why someone would think that this place would be all you can eat... do a little more research. We've especially enjoyed the atmosphere here because yes you can buy the chefs drinks and watch them enjoy what they love doing. I recommend getting reservations at the bar for Omakase, the host and servers are always so welcoming and attentive. We typically come here for special occasions such as birthdays or anniversaries with friends because this is premium priced dining sushi experience but we have always left satisfied and excited for the next time we come back. Their appetizers and sushi have never failed to be amazing, from the special agedashi tofu to their beautiful cut nigiri, this is somewhere we will always return to. We will be back soon enough!
A great omakase experience. Chefs here tend to do more appetizer dishes before they start serving sushi, and to me, that is what makes this place different from Ohshima. Attentive service. They are willing to work with you on splitting up sake into multiple portions. Omakase is on the pricier side but worth the experience
One of the most reasonably priced omakase options around town, although the price has increased since my first visit. Despite the change, considering the quality and variety of the food, it remains one of my top recommendations for omakase. There are two options available, and it's advisable to make a reservation, ensuring you're aware of your booking time as changes may not be possible afterward. The sashimi quality is excellent, but what stands out the most are the surprisingly good appetizers—each uniquely customized. I appreciate their balanced and diverse flavors; it's a delightful experience.
Worst meal/$ of my life. Paid for omakase experience on the assumption, based on recent reviews, that it was all you can eat. Not even close - we were served the most vile crustaceans imaginable, soggy tempura, and the worst cut sushi I have had in my life (worse than a conveyor belt sushi bar). We watched the chefs taking shot after shot after shot while we sat with an empty table for 30 minutes, so maybe that had to do with it. Service was generally incredibly slow - 5 courses in 2 hours at a sushi restaurant is ridiculous. Bill was almost $500 for two people and we left starving and furious. DO NOT eat here. Overpriced scam restaurant. Manager was extremely rude when we tried to voice our issues. The pricing does not reflect quality - you’re just paying their rent. Cannot imagine a more disappointing experience for a special occasion. You’d be better off going literally anywhere else for sushi and ordering 20 of your favorite rolls than trying to get a good meal here.
One of the best Japanese Omakase in the area. Every dish is beautiful presented and tasted so well. I recommend this restaurant if you are looking for a unique dinning experience and great food.
