Rockford Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery (Rockford OMS)

I am beyond grateful to Rockford OMS for the care I received. I’m not a fan of any dental procedures but the way Rockford OMS treated me made it so much easier. From my 1st phone call there, the staff was pleasant & courteous. I had my tooth extraction today & the nurse & Dr. were very kind & comforting. They turned an uncomfortable situation into a quick & easy one. Hopefully I will not need further extractions but in the event I do, I will not hesitate to go back to Rockford OMS. Thank you for making this an easier experience for me! Highly recommend!!

I had my back bottom molar pulled today , cannot say enough good about Roms surgery. I had Dr.Bruksch, he was amazing. Listened to every thing I did not want done . He and his staff made sure I was ok and comfortable at all times .i AM A TRADITIONAL NURSE AND A HOLISTIC NURSE PRACTITIONER/NUTRITIONIST .My weakness is getting a Tooth pulled and novacane.DR.USED JUST ENOUGH AS I ASKED TO GET ME THROUGH .I am home it is wearing off down to the jaw . coming from a Professional, I HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND IF YOU NEED ANY WORK DONE SCHEDULE OVER HERE . I had my wisdom teeth removed two weeks ago here at Rockford OMS by Dr. Altman and have zero complaints. As a 26 year old, I put this off for a very long time out of fear. I felt bad because I opted out of doing the consultation because I felt I would not go through with the procedure due to my own anxieties. I never addressed my fears to them but they comforted me when I kind of panicked. I will forever be grateful I had a good experience with Dr. Altman and his team and I can’t believe I actually did it! Thank you Dr. Altman!

I was very nervous about having a molar extracted, but thankfully my Dentist recommended Dr. Altman. My experience could not have gone smoother. I am very thankful for Dr. Altman and staff at Rockford Oral & Maxilliofacial. Highly recommend!

My son had all four wisdoms removed. He gives the four star review. Dr. Bruksch is very straight forward and no nonsense. Which my son prefers. The only thing I would have wanted them to do differently is call people to confirm the surgery. Everything and I mean everything was through text messaging. The after care was very forward also. Follow directions and get on their website to find detailed information. This would have answered a lot of questions that the "bad" reviewers had. I would recommend this place for wisdoms being removed to anyone.

My son was referred to ROMS back in May by our dentist, but we never heard from them. Months later, when his wisdom teeth began to cause pain, I had to contact our dentist multiple times to resend the referral before ROMS finally confirmed they had received it. Once the consultation was set, I was told it would cost $145 and that depending on the results, some of the procedure might need to go through health insurance instead of dental. When we arrived, we waited several minutes just to check in. The doctor came in, looked in my son’s mouth for less than five minutes, glanced at the X-rays, and said all four wisdom teeth needed to come out — two through dental insurance and two through medical. For a $145 consultation, I expected ROMS to handle contacting both dental and health insurance, but I was given conflicting information instead. One staff member said I should’ve called my insurance before the consultation, another said they’d handle it, and then I was told to call my son’s primary care doctor myself. I ended up doing all the follow-up calls while getting no clear answers. To make things worse, when calling ROMS, their automated message states that all calls are monitored and recorded. However, when I asked the manager to review the call where I was supposedly told to contact my insurance before the consultation, she said that at that time, they weren’t actually recording calls. So either their policy just changed, or their message is misleading — and either way, that’s unacceptable. The surgery was scheduled for a Monday, but even by 1:30 that afternoon, no one had confirmed whether insurance had approved it, despite promising to call me first thing that morning. My son had already eaten because we assumed the surgery wasn’t happening. Then they called asking if we were still coming. When I requested a refund for the consultation, the manager said the doctor refused, claiming he "did his part." For $145, I expected more than a five-minute exam and a staff that couldn’t follow through or communicate. This office is unorganized, unprofessional, and lacks accountability. If you value communication, honesty, and respect for your time and money, I strongly do not recommend ROMS.

I had a tooth pulled recently, and it was a great experience from start to finish. The office was clean, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the doctor took time to explain everything and make sure I was comfortable. Highly recommend.
