Private Quarters Hair Salon

I came to Private Quarters Hair Salon in Tallahassee for a braided French roll (a 90s look) and unfortunately left very disappointed. I was in the chair for about 4 hours and paid $120, but the style I received did not look professional at all—it looked uneven and poorly done. When I raised my concerns with the owner, I was told to speak with her daughter who had done the style. She only offered $40 back, which did not feel like a fair resolution given the time, cost, and quality. As a single mom of four and a student, I was really looking forward to treating myself and walking out feeling confident. Instead, I left in tears, feeling embarrassed and disappointed. I truly wish my experience had matched the time, money, and trust I invested.

Brenda is a kind and loving person. She takes time to make sure that I am safe moving from one chair to another. I have poor mobility, she's right there. Brenda is a wonderful hair stylish.

Ashley was very nice and extremely quick! You feel at home when you walk in there like no one is judging! If you are tender headed, you can tell them and I’m sure they will be gentle but be prepared for some pain. I was happy with my results and the service! I also love the decorations! Thank you! ❤️

Very unprofessional. If you unable to preform a service for a customer you need let the customer know. My daughter when in for a Silk Press. She have all natural hair. It look so good when the service was first done. This was her very first time getting professional Press. The Silk Press Last for least than four hours. She when back the next day it was a mess.

Worst appointment EVER!! The stylist LEFT without notice. I know there is a stigma behind black salons but this takes the cake! I had the worst experience here. Not only was my hair done poorly, I went in for a relaxer and a roller set, but the worker Ashley completely neglected me. She left mid roller set, stuck me under the drier with the hair only partially rolled, and went to an appointment!!! I booked THIS hair appointment in advanced with HER. Co workers were calling to find her when we realized she didn’t bring her phone. No one knew where she went. I was left to have a nice sweet woman Ms. Hazel , bless her, try and come to my rescue she had to ask wether or not my hair was even relaxed, until Ashley came back after about 2 hours and some change to instead use the curlers to make me look like I was attending an 80s dance or 90s Sunday school (my hair fear). As a new mom wanting to feel good about myself again, with some time doing something nice for myself, this was NOT IT! Not to mention a lady came in for a scheduled appointment for highlights and no one knew who she signed with. How unorganized?! Ashley came back and charged FULL PRICE btw SMH

Ms. Vee a stylist here is a delight. The atmosphere is relaxing and reminds me of what a true salon should be. She is knowledgeable about hair and has a beautiful demeanor. Looking for a stylist book here
