My sister and I went to get some lunch here and it was so so good! I ended up getting the bún bò huê and bahn mi. Food was delicious and very flavorful. Quite a few side dishes that we shared and they offer chili oil, soy sauce, siracha, etc aswell!! The restaurant was really nice in general and the staff were so sweet! Kaleb helped us get settled and was such a sweetie pie🙌 Def would recommend to anyone wanting to try good authentic vietnamese food 😼
Cool little hole in wall Vietnamese restaurant serving excellent Bánh mì sandwiches and delicious Pho. The satay beef was being grilled and smelled so amazing! The aroma had taken over the entire neighborhood and was all we could smell walking in from our parking spot! So I had to go with the satay beef for both my Pho and a sandwich. It was Absolutely delicious, I highly recommend. I also want to point out that the service was very friendly and got our orders perfect even though we were a large group.
This was my first time trying Vietnamese food and it was an amazing experience from start to finish. The guy on the counter was incredibly friendly and welcoming — he took the time to explain the menu, gave great recommendations, and everything he suggested was absolutely delicious. On top of that, he even offered me free coffee to taste, which was such a kind and thoughtful gesture. The food was fresh, flavorful, and comforting, and the atmosphere made me feel right at home. I’m so glad this was my introduction to Vietnamese food. I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending this place to others!
first time here and will come again! I brought my parents along with me and they loved it as much as i did! i loooved their chili sauce it made my pho even better 😍 100/10
Had a delicious and affordable lunch with generous portions. Been looking for a good Vietnamese place close to River Forest, and am delighted that we now have a go to!!
I love Pho Home so I’m super pumped they have a second location closer to where we live! We went during their soft opening so the menu and offering is definitely smaller than their original location. The space is quite small…they probably have enough tables to seat maybe 20 people…but it was nice and clean. I took some family from out of town here and they loved their pho! We also got some egg rolls and they were pretty good as well. Staff was friendly and helpful. And they gave us some free desserts (cheesecakes, coconut gelatin, and others) to try and it was pretty fantastic as well. So, so glad this place opened up in our hood!
Food: Phở Gà (ie chicken phở) was very good by 2025's standards but not savory by 2018's. By way of comparison, I almost agree with Melissa Too's review that the "broth was flat.... Not...deep rich broth...." Yet to explain, I’m very spoiled by the former Phở Town in Niles off Dempster St; its space was too large and rent far too steep for it to last, but it had the best flavor and gloriously large portions. It may have closed many years ago but when food is that fantastic, its memory never fades. NB: long noodles were white and not glass in case anyone has a preference. Last, the Cherry Promenade is fantastic and a little pricey for its size. **** Service: Excellent. Very attentive and considerate. ***** Atmosphere: Street parking was available when I visited. Nothing fancy outside, it was clean inside, and that's what matters. Toni C said the interior carried a "slight smell of mildew which [is] attribute[d] to the building itself." I disagree, only smelling fresh bean sprouts, and then when they were brought to table. ****
