Rice N Bread is amazing. I appreciate the staffs and managers kindness to me even though I have autism and their food is amazing and really good. Owner Jacop is very nice. The restaurant is in good condition. Amazing Galbi burger. Must come back. 10/10. I liked the pictures on the walls.

Our Saturday lunch at Rice’N Bread was great. They have a tight menu of Korean and Western diner style food. We had the Buldak and Spicy Yang Nyum Chicken that were generous portions with rice and coleslaw and very tasty. Efficient service. Well priced. The washroom situation is a little different, walking through the tight kitchen. There is a liquor store next door for BYOB. A great find in the neighborhood. No frills, just good authentic food.

The staff are friendly and welcoming, the atmosphere is cozy, and the food is high quality. I highly recommend the fried chicken—it’s excellent. The place is also very clean. Absolutely wonderful!

I got there right when they opened so I could place a quick breakfast order to go. I ordered the teriyaki 2 egg breakfast with rice and gravy and toast. I stood around waiting for my order while others who had gotten there after me were getting served. After 25 minutes, I asked the server if my food was almost ready. She said it would be another 5 minutes. I finally got my food after waiting for 30 minutes. I couldn’t believe how flippant they were about the long wait and I couldn’t wait to get out of there and actually start my day. The teriyaki beef was good, but the rest of the meal was average. For a $22 breakfast, I expect the food to align with the service. I really wanted to enjoy this place after reading all the reviews, but unfortunately I won’t be back.

I came here because I was really craving jeon—Korean-style savory pancake—and was excited to try their ja-jeon, which comes with squid and shrimp. The portion had a fairly generous amount of seafood, which I appreciated, but overall the dish was just too oily for my taste. I only ended up eating about one-third of it. It is a dish I would have likely enjoyed in my 20's when my tolerance was greesy food was higher. Interestingly, they served the jeon already broken up into pieces, which I haven’t seen before. Not necessarily a bad thing—just different. I liked that they had chili powder on the table, but I really wish they offered a spicier gochujang sauce to go with the dish. The service was warm and attentive—definitely 5 stars for that. I also enjoyed sitting at a table overlooking busy Clark Street nearly Wrigley stadium; it made for great people-watching during my meal.

We were craving some Korean dish while traveling so we stopped by this place. It was surprising to find how authentic the food was and the dishes we tried genuinely tasted delicious. The Sundubu Jjigae had an especially familiar taste and it felt like a true Korean comfort food. The service on the other hand was pretty abysmal. The waiter was almost non-existent.
