Customer Reviews
Orange County Dermatology & Surgery has a rating of 2.9 out of 5 based on over 12 reviews on Google
I’ve been to this office several times and have had wonderful experiences every single time. The doctor is thorough and kind. The supportive staff is friendly and easy to deal with. I’ve been to other dermatologists that were horrible. I am so grateful to have found this place. When I was looking for a new dermatologist I had two different people recommend this place. I’m astonished by all of the bad reviews. I’ve been seeing dermatologists for over 30 years since my first skin cancer was diagnosed when I was 19. I would recommend coming here if you want good care.
I came to OC Dermatology for a cyst on my neck and had an extremely disappointing experience. The staff was minimally polite at best. During my first visit, they did a biopsy I paid my $50 copay, but still ended up getting billed for the visit separately($55). I got a follow up 2 weeks later, came in only for the result, this time no copay but got a surprise 3months later with a bill of $65.41for a 2minutes conversation. Not to mention my insurance already cover most of the bill. Dr. Eragi charged a lot but did almost nothing but overprice service. It felt like a money grab more than medical care. Stay away from this clinic if you don’t want to get ripped off by fees and unhelpful service.
Wow, so many negative reviews, but the good news is here is a positive one. The staff was very kind, courteous and efficient. They actually were able to accommodate a same day appointment, which almost never happens with Dermatology offices. I was seen by Dr. Fulwider and she was great! She was quick with her diagnoses, explained her diagnoses and prescribed medications to correct the issue. I recommend this doctor and this office. Thank you!
I went in to some "suspicious moles" checked out. Paid a 90.00 "co pay", then came back for a 2nd visit to have the moles removes and tested (another 90.00 co pay) and then they set up "Telecall" with the Physicians Assistant (another 90.00 co pay) to tell me in 2 min that they are just benign moles, wear sunscreen! I feel like they could have just emailed me those results, I really feel like this place is running a racket and by the way, I never once actually saw or spoke to a "physician" in those 3 visits!
I think the negative reviews came from a few years ago, perhaps with different staff. Both my appointments I was able to get in within a few days of calling. My provider was very attentive and helpful and overall was a great experience dealing with the office.
I wanted to like this place and stuck with it for quite a few visits...even through three different doctors (not sure why they keep leaving/getting replaced). There's a lot of red flags here. The billing is questionable. It feels shady. During one visit, I raised my pant leg and said, "is this dark spot anything to be concerned about?" The doctor glanced at it and said, "Nope. Just age." She charged me over $100 for that. I will say, after talking to the billing department they conceded that it was a bit misleading and gave me a credit for that. So there is some degree of reason there...or maybe they're just used to that sort of complaint. On another occasion, I asked about a red spot on my face. Turned out it was pre-cancerous. Okay...I would have felt better if that was discovered during my initial check. Is it too much to expect the doctor to have found it without my pointing it out? Scary. Again, they seem to charge a lot for every little thing, and when you get your statements, they're not the easiest to understand. Recently, I got a bill for treatment in September that had charges from June. Supposedly, it was for treatments that were kicked back from my insurance company. Everything is so unorganized, it's difficult to pinpoint anything. If the treatment was amazing, maybe I would put up with the questionable charges and billing, but it's not worth it. I'm moving on to better treatment and more reasonable billing. I recommend you do the same.
Terrible staff!! Very difficult to deal with and does over charge ! Office manager is horrible! I was late on a payment and tried to put on my Amex after going back and fourth she sent my account to collections then told me I was no longer a patient ! The Dr her self was decent but back staff is just terrible!
