Well the wife and I are at it again. And this time we both decided to try Oppa House. I will admit we both waited because when this place first opened the reviews were pretty harsh, but I'm happy to see that the reviews have changed for the better, and live up to the experience that we had. We went in on a Friday just past 6:00 p.m. and we were seated immediately. Jason, our writer took our order. Beef beef, beef, veggies and some squid flowers. I got all the side dishes and let me tell you I put them in order ( pictures), I was so excited to see that they actually serve the Korean potato salad. Wow. Really good. It's not what you think. If you haven't had it, it's cold, slightly sweet and it's more like a mashed potato consistency. But it was really good. The quality of the food was definitely there. The options that they have are different than the other Korean barbecue restaurant in Tulsa. You're not going here for the decor but it has a nice setting. And this is just a disclaimer for those that get cold easily. You may want to wear some type of sweater to keep you warm. This is part of the ventilation inside which is really good so you really don't come out smelling like barbecue. When you're done you may have a slight a hint of barbecue but not like most places where you just come out smelling like beef pork, or whatever you cooked. Again, from the moment we were greeted seated ordered, everything was just consistent. Professional didn't have to worry about refills. I'm telling you they were on point with everything they didn't miss a beat and I can really appreciate that. That just really makes out for a better experience than all the other Hang-Ups that we've experienced eating out in general. So don't wait any longer. If you haven't had Korean BBQ, I highly recommend that you give this a try And for those that are new that haven't tried Korean BBQ. Sure, you can look it up on YouTube and Google. But rest assured going to Poppa House, the waiters and staff will walk you through your first experience. The place was so good that my wife wanted to go back the next day. Have a great weekend.

FYI: you can do the all you can eat portion or order a meal premade. If you have sensory issues with smell (the place was super clean, but other guests can burn their meal) , consider sitting at the bar and ordering an entree there. This is what I would imagine a Korean BBQ would be in Korea. My server Hoa was amazing and attentive, giving me suggestions, answering all of my questions and even helping with cooking time suggestions (it was my first time). Don’t worry if you mess up, they can bring you a new grill to start over! Highly recommend the beef round eye, chicken bulgogi, pumpkin, and the Kimchi Jjigae. Such an amazing experience that I can’t wait to bring my family to! Thank you Oppa House!

Best hot pot in town! The broth was very tasty. I loved how the hot pot had dual side, we were able to try different broth. The service was great! We were constantly checked on, and had our drinks refilled. The owner was very sweet and made sure we had more than enough refills on food/drinks. Definitely recommend, and will definitely be back.

My wife and I wanted to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary on a lunch date, and this place did not disappoint. We did both the hot pot and BBQ, and the spicy marinade was excellent. The server was kind and attentive. We will now make it an annual thing snd probably head back on occasion now.

One of the best in town. Audrey was our server and she was a blast. A burst of energy. Don't forget to check out the Karaoke booths.

When the hot pot broth was brought out, it looked exactly like the photo I took—greasy and messy. For the price we pay, we shouldn’t have to clean up pools of oil and grease when it’s supposed to come fresh from the kitchen. IT CLEARLY WASN’T FRESH!! Serving us FROZEN BROTH. The meat quality was disappointing as well; it cooked up dry and tasted freezer-burnt. All of the meat, freezer tasting. Service was just as poor. Our waitress was not attentive at all, even though the restaurant wasn’t busy—only about 6 out of 50 tables were occupied, including ours. We had to try looking for her at least three times just to get basic service. Busser boy needs to get paid more, they basically did the waitresses job for her. While there was a wide variety of menu items, the quality didn’t match the quantity. The only highlight worth mentioning was the ambiance: the tables, chairs, and the big TV in the bar area were clean and modern. Unfortunately, that alone isn’t enough to make up for the poor food and lackluster service.

Amazing experience at Oppa House! Very prettily renovated large restaurant. Great friendly service and atmosphere. Drinks and food were delicious. Can’t wait to return and try more items on the menu.
