Alisha

Nubiance Salon is the best salon in Atlanta. I first came here for a keratin blowout and I couldn’t be happier. My hair feels healthier, stronger, and has grown so beautifully since starting. I get compliments all the time on how smooth and shiny my hair looks. For anyone wanting those same results, I definitely recommend Ms. Vicki and Proctor with Nubiance Salon. Ms. Vicki is incredibly knowledgeable and professional. She and Proctor always make my experience enjoyable. Not only that but Ms. Vicki always takes the time to explain the process and make sure I’m comfortable. Beyond her skill, she’s such a kind and genuine person, and that makes every appointment something I look forward to. I truly trust her with my hair and highly recommend her to anyone wanting amazing results and a wonderful experience!

Mrs. Vicki provides services to my whole family at the Nubiance Salon. The experience has been outstanding at the salon. Since we began going in 2020, we've seen a tremendous improvement in the health of our hair. Mrs. Vicki introduced us to the Keratin Treatment, which has strengthened our hair and supported noticeable hair growth. Our hair has never been this healthy or strong. She truly is the best hairstylist-she uses high- quality products, takes the time to educate you ,and consistently provides expectational service.

I’ve been going to Nubiance Salon & Spa for years where Vicki has been my stylist. If you’re looking for a great colorist, Vicki is the best. She explains the process and give you an at home routine to keep your hair healthy in between visits. I always want to explore with color, but can be indecisive when it comes to my hair. Vicki is always patient and directs me to a level of comfort. She is so knowledgeable with color, you cannot go wrong with Nubiance Salon and Spa. Sonya

Mrs. Vicki is skilled in everything hair. Since going to her my hair has grown longer than it’s ever been and she has taught me how to take care of my hair. The hair journey can be tiring and long but I can truly say I have found the best hair care with Vicki. As long as she is doing hair I will be her client.

Vicki did a great job on my wife’s hair. She received a touch up and cut. She got tons of compliments as always on her hair and it lasted. Vicki never disappoints. She loves what she does. She is a professional and runs her business accordingly.

I normally don’t write reviews, but this experience deserves to be shared so others know what to expect. I called the day before and explained what I wanted: a wash, a deep condition, and a steam treatment to help with my shedding and overall hair health. I made it clear that money wasn’t an issue — I just wanted my hair properly cared for. When I arrived, everything seemed fine. My hair was washed, I sat under the steamer for about 30 minutes, and everything felt on track. Then, instead of the stylist, her husband washed my hair again, blow-dried it, and pulled out a flat iron. I immediately asked him why he was putting heat in my hair since I had not requested a silk press. His explanation was that straightening was necessary for the haircut. I trusted that, because at no point did anyone tell me I was being signed up for a silk press service. When the stylist finished with another client, she cut my hair, complimented how it looked, and we had a nice conversation about products and care. All good — until it was time to pay. My total was $278. I was shocked. The breakdown was: • $30 steam treatment • $45 shampoo & condition • $125 silk press (which I never asked for) • $68 for three products Here’s the issue: a silk press already includes shampoo, blow-dry, and flat ironing — yet I was charged separately for those services and for a silk press I never agreed to. When I questioned it, the stylist told me it was my fault for not "speaking up" when her husband used heat. But I did. He told me it was part of the haircut. She then said she "assumed" I wanted a silk press. Assumptions should never replace communication, especially when it comes to charging customers. What made it worse was the way I was treated when I tried to explain my side. Instead of accountability, I was told things like I "shouldn’t come with only $300 if that’s all I had," called a "bad mother," and insulted when I pushed back. By the end, I was being cursed at and disrespected over a bill that was inflated by services I didn’t agree to. The service itself (washing, steaming, cutting) was fine — but the business practices, communication, and lack of respect were completely unacceptable. I walked out feeling scammed, disrespected, and attacked. ⚠️ Warning to future clients: Watch your bill carefully. Ask questions. Don’t let anyone assume what service you’re paying for. What I experienced was double-charging, misrepresentation, and verbal abuse when I called it out. I wouldn’t wish that treatment on anyone.
