Such incredible food! Morimoto was one of our absolute favorite meals in Napa. My husband ordered the chef’s tasting menu and loved every single course — especially the nigiri, which he said was the best sushi he’s ever had. I ordered a Cosmopolitan (delicious), the gyoza (the best I’ve ever eaten), the braised cod (buttery and perfect), and the sorbet flight (refreshing and light). The portions were spot-on for a tasting-style meal. Service was great, the restaurant was beautiful and clean, and the bathrooms were easy to find. Our only complaint was the noise level — it was very loud, and we found ourselves raising our voices to talk. Overall, though, it was a fantastic dining experience and we will definitely be back. Delicious food, attentive service, and truly memorable dishes!

The service is outstanding, attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely warm. The staff make great recommendations for sake pairings and are happy to walk you through the menu if it’s your first visit. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or just want to treat yourself to world-class Japanese cuisine, Morimoto Napa is a must-visit. It’s the kind of restaurant that leaves a lasting impression, refined, creative, and truly memorable.

Haven’t been here in years and happy to report the service is as on point as opening day! Attention to detail wasn’t missed starting at the host checkin, to the bar to being seated for dinner. Checked in early for dinner- sat at the bar and the service was friendly and fast! Strong cocktails served with a smile. We were served by Adrian who was fun, fantastic, attentive and genuine. Great suggestions, tasty food and the vibes were so welcoming and warm. And the presentation …. Nailed it ! Will be back. Unfiltered sake was my fave from the flight.

I will say this was my first time dining here, I’ve always heard it’s the place to check out. And it sure is! The food and service was amazing! A very unique and rememberable flavors hands down. A must go to place if you’re in Napa!!

Went for Lunch at Morimoto in Napa is definitely an experience, especially if you are a fan of the "Iron Chef" legacy. However, when it comes to the sushi specifically, it was not the best sushi I have encountered. It was well-prepared and fresh, but it lacked that "wow" factor or unique depth of flavor that you might expect from a restaurant with this much prestige and a high price tag. 💰 Premium Pricing and Small Portions One of the main takeaways from my visit was the disconnect between the price and the portion sizes. While you expect to pay a premium in Napa, the prices were definitely a little high for what was delivered. More importantly, the portion sizes were quite small. It felt like we were paying more for the brand and the location than for the actual amount of food on the plate. If you are coming here with a big appetite, be prepared to order several dishes to feel satisfied, which can quickly lead to a very expensive tab. 🌊 Beautiful Setting and Sleek Design The ambiance is arguably the strongest part of the Morimoto experience. - Industrial Chic: The interior design is modern and sophisticated, striking a great balance between urban style and Napa's relaxed vibe. - Excellent Location: Being right by the riverfront makes it a perfect spot for a scenic walk after dinner. - Solid Presentation: While the portions were small, the plating was artistic and beautiful, fitting the high-end theme of the restaurant. - Friendly Service: The staff were professional and helpful, ensuring that the meal flowed smoothly despite the busy environment. 👍 Final Verdict: A Mixed Value Proposition I’m giving Morimoto Napa 4 stars because the food quality is still high and the environment is fantastic. However, the combination of small portions and high prices makes it a bit hard to recommend as a frequent stop. It’s a great place for a one-time visit or a special occasion where you care more about the vibe and the name than getting the best value for your money. If you are a sushi purist looking for the absolute best cuts in the valley, you might find other local spots that offer a better balance of price and quantity.

Morimoto Napa was an amazing dining experience. The sticky ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender and packed with flavor. The shrimp tempura roll was spectacular, incredibly fresh, and bursting with flavor. Service was outstanding, attentive, friendly, and made us feel well taken care of. The ambiance was beautiful, especially dining outside along the Napa Riverwalk with the scenic view. We finished with the s’mores dessert, which was decadent and absolutely dazzling. A truly memorable meal from start to finish. Tip: It’s best to call ahead and make reservations, the place fills up quickly.

A good place for Japanese cuisine. It has a beautiful outdoor seating area. Staff were great, thank you for being good hosts. Food tasted amazing.
