Had my teen get her highlights done here. Was recommended by several people. I was skeptical scheduling my kiddo with a student. Nervous sitting and praying it turned out well. As soon as my daughter walked out I was amazed by the beautiful highlights that looked so professional! Definitely taking my kid here for touch ups and highly recommend anyone to schedule appointments. They have multiple stuff you can get done there!

I had the absolute pleasure of attending MetrOasis as a student in their Hairdresser program. Sue and Sigel maintain small class sizes that worked perfectly for my learning style. Because of the small size of my class, I received individual learning opportunities, customized for my learning style and skill level. I found the school to be extremely welcoming, and because of the care and dedication taken by my instructors I was able to pass my exams and fulfill my dream of becoming a licensed hairdresser! On a more personal note, the owners, Sue and Sigel, are some of the kindest people you will ever meet. I strongly recommend MetrOasis!

I love this place and the attitudes of the people there. I had 2 sessions while visiting family in Anchorage. It's truly walking into an oasis. I had 2 parts of a non-invasive facial, but it was so much more. Two different students worked on me with 2 very different personalities & styles and it was all good. I felt pampered & relaxed and my skin looked better for several weeks. It's a good thing I was getting picked up & didn't have to drive afterwards! They are supervised by knowledgeable and personable instructors. I'll schedule appointments ahead before I leave for my next Anchorage visit! It leaves Santa Fe's beauty college in the dust!

I graduated from MetrOasis in Jan. 2016 and I am a licensed hairdresser now. Going to school at MetrOasis was like working in a real salon with wonderful clients and classmates. Sue and Sigel are such knowledgeable instructors to learn about all aspects of the industry from. They would drop anything to help and support their students who they take only one or two per month. Two instructors for just several students! I was also surprised to receive such high quality student kit that I could use as a professional. The school was full time and required a lot of commitment, but I graduated with confidence and it was totally worth it.

Sue is literally the sweetest! I went there for my 12 hour nail class I got a few answers wrong on my first try for my test but she was willingly to stay back during closing time to help me have a better understanding of the questions as we went over the questions again and proud to say I redid the test again and passed thank you so much to Miss Sue! 🙂

I know my mom has been happily going here for years, and when I visit from out of state I’ve been going to get a trim or my hair colored. I’ve been really happy with the color especially. Everyone I’ve met has been really nice and professional. The owners seem to love what they do. The shop is full of beautiful and interesting things to look at. My daughter has gotten a couple trims there as a little one and they have her braids a couple times. They did really well with her also. Highly recommend.

This is the best beauty school in Anchorage! Best because the instructors are Amazing people, who genuinely care about each and every student, and are committed to teaching the best techniques. When you walk in, you first notice the kindness and happy spirit of Sue. ❤ As a graduate, I am forever grateful for the advanced techniques that I was taught. Sigel has SO much valuable information about hair and skin. Sue is a super woman that exudes loveliness. My year of school with these wonderful people has been one of the most awesome experiences of my life. When you meet such goodness in people, it's hard to leave, even when you complete your course. I would highly recommend Metroasis for all of your hair and skin services. A great price, happy students, and artsy decor. Just walking in, is an experience you won't forget!
