Massage Envy

This was my first experience at this Massage Envy and it was the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. I tried to cancel an appointment in good faith after not feeling well and needing to be closer to home. The manager refused to give their name and hung up on me seven times when I politely asked who I was speaking with. I was told my reason "wasn’t good enough," that "the employee needed to be paid," and they took my credit anyway ...despite my attempts to cancel early and explain my situation. Despite the good reviews I'm reading this office doesn't not care about customers they care about getting paid. I would not recommend this office to anyone. I explained I wasn’t feeling well, the weather was bad, and I didn’t have money to be charged unexpectedly. I was told, "We’ll take the credit anyway." I even went on to inform them I would share my experience they said " that's my propagative" To be clear: • I’ve never experienced anything like this at any other Massage Envy • My home location has always treated me with kindness and professionalism • The behavior at this location was dismissive, cold, and completely lacking compassion If this had been my first experience with Massage Envy, I never would have signed up for a membership. I truly pray no one else has to go through what I did. I would strongly recommend choosing another location until the customer service and leadership here improve dramatically.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience. I was charged for a 90-minute massage that I did not book, and the business is refusing to issue a refund. I originally had an appointment scheduled, but the office called because the provider called out sick and asked me to reschedule. They offered a time during my work hours, which I clearly declined. I stated that I would need to find another time and book online myself and hung up. I work full time and would not schedule a 90-minute massage in the middle of the workweek during business hours. I called the site, and the manager, Colleen Flowers, claims they have a voice recording of me agreeing to the appointment. However, when I asked for a copy of that recording, I was told they could not provide it. When I questioned why I was being recorded without my consent, there was no clear response. There was also no text or email confirmation for this supposed appointment — because I never booked it. I even scheduled a different massage online for the following week at a time that worked for me (after 5 PM), which makes it even more unlikely that I would book two appointments so close together (??). I should not be held financially responsible for what appears to be a scheduling error on their end. This situation has been incredibly frustrating and disappointing and I am pending a response from corporate.

The massages at the Stamford location are always great! I would totally recommend Woodner if you're interested. I would also like to highlight the Total Stretch Therapy. It was recommended to receive this service before getting a massage (it's also good on its own) but as a person that's in the gym multiple times a week this was a great combo! Sal was very informative and I could definitely see a difference in my mobility when i'm exercising.

Dean was great! Loved the deep tissue. Extremely slow and focused on the areas of focused I mentioned. Went home feeling great!

It's always a pleasure going. I always feel better after my massage. The staff is courteous , professional and knowledgeable . I leave relaxed and refreshed. I've been going for years. It's now my ritual, nassages are part of my self care routine. A must! Woodner and Glorivi are awesome and the best! She even gave me a print out of stretches I could do at home. You rock Glorivi! Location is clean and welcoming. Germaine is attentive and wonderful- my achy back thanks you tremendously! Miracle worker!

Massages with Toyo are healing. He does a great job with helping me reduce the tension in my neck and back. He always works so hard. Thanks for everything!
