Levan Dental Group

We've had an awful experience with this dental group. Like another reviewer, we ended up here when our old dentist sold his practice. Before bringing myself and my children for appointments in August, I called to verify that they accepted my insurance and inquire as to the out of pocket costs for all services. After my appointment in August, I was told I needed two fillings and that my out of pocket cost would be $122. I subsequently agreed to have the work done, paid the $122, and then received a surprise bill in the mail for over $400. After calling multiple times over two months, I was finally informed that they are not an "in network" provider and so the initial quote I was given was false and they are now claiming I am on the hook for the difference that my insurance didn't cover. I don't understand why I was given an incorrect quote to begin with, since they clearly had my insurance on file and should have easily known that they do not accept my insurance. I was never informed that they were not in-network, which feels intentionally misleading since I specifically called prior to ever coming in with questions about insurance and out of pocket costs. On top of that, they recommended my daughter have work done on about 5 teeth, and since that August appointment 4 of those teeth have fallen out. I thank god every day that I didn't agree to pay all that money for baby teeth that were falling out to begin with. The one remaining tooth we paid for the cavity to be filled in April, the filling fell out, and we were told by Dr. Harris that they would fix this free of charge since the filling shouldn't have fallen out that soon. We were in fact, charged for the follow up appointment.

I used to be someone who hated the dentist until I started going here. The office staff is always super friendly and helpful. I see Lauren as my hygienist and she is just the best!! I am always excited about going to the dentist because I know I will see the friendly faces of everyone in the office, the hygienists, and the dentists. My whole family goes here and we all love Levan Dental 🙂

This was my first time there. The front desk staff was welcoming! I was with Lindsay and she was amazing! She was very outgoing, personable and friendly! Dr. Harrison was great too! I’d recommend them to anyone I knew looking for a new dentist!

Very nice, very professional. I was very impressed with everything. They explain everything, xrays, and will set up a plan for me to get things fix. Loren my hygienist was fantastic, & gentle. Dr. Decapite came in looked at my teeth discussed with Loren what she saw. Dr. Decapite is the best!!!Top Notch service there! You won't be disappointed!!

My dentist, Dr. DeCapite combined his practice, so this was my first time at new location. Everyone was very nice and welcoming, explained their procedures and made me feel comfortable. Lauren, the hygienist did a great job on my cleaning and was very thorough with process. Debi, in billing was very friendly and helped with future appts. and billing procedures.

We are very angry with our first visit at Levan Dental on July 1st. We were patients of Dr DeCapite before the switch/merge so he would work towards his retirement. The office staff is a joke when it comes to professionalism. Our first experience was hearing them mock and talk bad about the patient who checked in after us. Debi the OFFICE MANAGER asked how he was, he gave a grunt. I was a dental assistant for several years and understand we aren't people's favorite places. As soon as he sat down they started talking badly and openly mocking him by doing impressions of the grunt and loudly following it with "some people act like they are so much better..." I'm shocked he didn't hear it from the waiting room as me and my kids heard and were seated further down from him. Sorry Timothy that you were talked about so negatively, openly and negligently. Once my 2 kids and myself were done with our cleanings we went to check out and the wonderful Debi was there. AFTER our cleanings were done she told us they aren't in network and that would be $436. Isn't it a courtesy to let new merging patients know such things beforehand such as being out of network? Our introductory letter to inform of the change said nothing would be different other than location and faces. I asked her about it and expressed my frustration and she barely gave me an apology and told me that $436 was due then and there. Going back and looking at Dr DeCapite's page, I apparently am not the only upset patient of his with their experience at Levan Dental. Please, look somewhere else for professional office staff that actually give a crap about their patients and have pride in their practice. They are the face of the office and our experience was beyond morally gross.

This staff is amazing! They are nice and understanding! This is a lively place, things work very smoothly! It makes "going to the dentist" very easy! All my family goes here and love it!
