This place was very far from we were located at so it took a couple of days to decide to go but we were very glad we did. Lots of fun store s that my family was hoping to find in Austin. All under one roof. The bathrooms did seem very small considering that it was such a large mall. Parking lot is alittle weird to navigate but worth visiting to see stores with lats of various collectibles.
First impression: the mall looks like a has-been on the outside. It is obvious no one is caring for the grounds or the parking lot. Many old parking cones and debris just sitting everywhere, old plastic fencing and around the entrance (JCPenneys/Macy's) there was gravel from the landscaping strewn everywhere and looking like it has been years since anyone cleaned. Parking lines are not visible and this show with how people have to park in the lot. Doesn't make the mall inviting. If I were I tentant of the mall, I'd complain. After my visit inside, I'd have to say it fits with the condition of the outside: stained, dated carpet and flooring, and both "down" escalators (from the food court to Macy's) were not working, forcing me to go to the elevator in the middle of the mall, the only I came across. There has been an inoperable escalator each of the 3 times I have been to this mall.
This is a fairly typical shopping mall in the south and midwest part of the country. It opened in 1995 and can be found near the intersection of Hwy 183 and FM 620 N in Cedar park. This mall has three department stores including Dillard's, JC Penney and Macy's and 150 retail and food shops spread around 2 floors. You'll also find a cinema, food court and large carpark encompassing Lakeline, a good mall for local residents of the Cedar Park area.
I spent about half a day at Lakeline Mall on a Sunday and overall it was a really pleasant, easygoing experience - especially as a parent with a toddler. The mall struck a nice balance between being spacious without feeling overwhelming, and it was clean, comfortable, and easy to navigate even with weekend crowds. What really made the visit enjoyable was how kid-friendly it turned out to be. My toddler had an absolute blast at the play area, loved the small merry-go-round, and could have stayed at Inflatable Wonderland all day if we let him. Having multiple entertainment options for young kids in one place made it easy to stretch the visit without feeling rushed or stressed, which is a big win for parents. It felt like a place where families are genuinely considered, not just accommodated as an afterthought. From a shopping standpoint, the mall covers all the basics well, with solid anchor stores and a decent mix of smaller shops. It’s not trying to be ultra-luxury or trend-driven, but it’s practical and convenient, which honestly fits the area and purpose well. Parking was straightforward, and even on a Sunday it didn’t feel chaotic. Food is where it falls just a bit short of being a five-star experience. The food court and casual dining options are fine for a quick bite, but they lean heavily toward standard mall fare. It would be great to see more healthy eating and drinking options inside the mall itself, along with one or two genuinely good sit-down dining restaurants that make you want to plan a meal there rather than just eat out of convenience. There are better options nearby, but having them integrated into the mall would elevate the overall experience significantly. All in all, Lakeline Mall delivered a relaxed, family-friendly half-day outing that kept both adults and a very energetic toddler happy. With stronger healthy food choices and a bit more depth in dining, it would easily move from a strong four stars to a solid five.
A little bit of everything it’s not too full right before Thanksgiving. Lots of stores for everybody, including Calendar stuff for the kids, jewelry for the people and lots of clothing.
Lakeline Mall used to be one of the high-end shopping areas around Austin, but in the last 20 years, it has definitely gone downhill. Most of the stores are still occupied, but it has a distinctly sinking aura. It’s too bad, the location is great. The food court still has a few interesting choices though.
Lakeline Mall is a great place to shop, especially if you go during the week when it is usually quiet and easy to get around. During the holidays it can get pretty busy, but that is expected with any mall. One thing I really appreciate is how clean it typically is, both inside and around the entrances. There is also plenty of parking, which makes visiting a lot less stressful. Overall, it is a solid mall with a comfortable shopping experience.
