Mulan Spa 沐蘭

Absolutely devastated — will never return. I’ve been bringing my family of three (myself and two teens) to Mulan Hair Salon for years. As an Asian family, I’ve always made an effort to support local Asian-owned businesses — but after what happened recently, I can’t stay silent anymore. My 13-year-old daughter had her long, beautiful hair chopped in half by De Chai Chen. We clearly requested just a small trim — one-finger length and light layers. Instead, he hacked off years of growth without hesitation. I was in shock. My daughter left the salon in tears, sobbing in the car after realizing how much of her hair was gone. She had been growing it out for so long, only for it to be destroyed in minutes. What’s worse is that this wasn’t the first time he ignored instructions. He once cut my hair significantly shorter than I asked as well. He also cuts my 16-year-old son’s hair — sometimes okay, but rarely consistent. We usually prefer the other stylist in the salon (who is clearly the only good one there), but he’s always booked — now I understand why. To make matters worse, the entire staff always seems unhappy and unmotivated, and communication is incredibly difficult. Whether it’s a language barrier or simply not listening, there’s no excuse for completely disregarding a client’s request — especially when it involves a child. I paid and left because I was too stunned to even react — but the more I think about it, the angrier I get. I feel completely violated and heartbroken on behalf of my daughter. I will never return. I tried to support this place for years, but this was the final straw. If you care about your hair — or your child’s — go somewhere else.

I love my new hair look!! It went from black to this!! The lady who did my hair was very gentle, and cared about my hair! I’d definitely recommend Mulan Spa to my friends and family! The man who did my hair also did a great job Removing all my splits end ! I’ll definitely come back here! Got lots of compliment because of my new hair! 💙

Very professional place and amazing work. My girlfriend came in to bleach and dye her hair and they matched the color she wanted to perfection. They even worked overtime until 10pm(they close at 8) to make sure that her hair was perfect. Now it looks amazing! They also do really good haircuts here as well. Just show them a picture and they can replicate it with ease. Definitely recommend to do any hair work here ! Give them a try, they will not disappoint.

I have gotten consistent bad haircut over the years because barber/stylists just don't know how my stiff Asian hair behaves. Out of frustration, I drove an hour and half from Naples to try Mulan Spa. I have to say the slightly higher price and the long drive definitely worth it. The haircut came out natural and neat. I would say it's the best haircut I got since the one I got in Chinatown NY years ago. Base on the hair type and experience, I highly recommend anyone with thick straight hair to give it a try.
