This is the 1st time having a professional massage. Due to life going at warp speed and stressors that come with that speed my DIL recognized a massage would first, slow me down and second help with a releasing the tension I quickly learned I had. I obviously do not have any comparisons to other spa services. Nu Essance Spa is now a necessity based off my 1st experience. If you need a place to go to change, redirect, or pure meditation away from the noise we create this is the place. Walking into Nu Essance I immediately started to feel relaxed. The intake process was a little more than I expected. The employees are professional and are there for you the minute you walk in the door. I highly recommend Nu Essance, they offer many services. The massage for 45 mins I thought was a luxury before but now is a necessity. I will be returning as part of maintenance of my health. I have no reason to go to another spa. My experience with Nu Essence from the minute I walked into the door to walking out was the feeling that they are a cut above their competition. I has no idea of what this cost prior to going but picked up booklet of all the serves and pricing and was quite surprised how affordable it is.
Veronica! Wow! I just left Nu Essence after a massage and microdermabrasion facial with Veronica, and I’m thrilled, lucky and blessed! She focused on "finding the exact spots" that needed attention during my massage, while also just helping me feel better overall. It was my first microdermabrasion facial, but I still venture to say it was the best you could get. She’s truly a master class in her profession. I’ll be back for sure.
Firstly, my card was charged for a deep tissue massage, but the provider was unable to deliver deep pressure. It felt more like a light massage, yet I was still charged for a deep tissue service. Secondly, when I called to cancel my appointment due to a busy schedule, my card was automatically charged again — which feels unfair and seems like an attempt to make money rather than provide good service. The only therapist I truly liked was Beth. I would have been a regular customer if I hadn’t been overcharged and disappointed twice.
This is the only place I’ll go to get a massage. I’ve been going here for about two years and you truly get the "spa like" experience. The convenience of booking online and the prices are very reasonable. I had a massage today with Diana and she was amazing. I had slept wrong and Diana did amazing at targeting the areas I needed. She was so sweet and it was overall such a good experience! Def recommend Nuessence 🙂
I had a massage here on my birthday. My husband surprised me with a 2 hour a massage. I go in and the girls, there were 2 at the front desk, ask if I want to wait in the quiet room and tell me there are lockers. I have been here before so I know the drill. It has been a while since I have been here but you walk through a doorway and the lockers are there. I typically get undressed and put the robe on but today I figured it would be easier to stay dressed. Good thing I did. I went through the curtain to the quiet room which the curtain was pushed to the side. I was sitting there on the sectional just watching a video on my phone trying to relax. I heard someone come in the front door and scream HELLO! No big deal, just went about looking at my phone. Next thing you know I look up and this half dressed lady is standing in front of me, asking where everyone is? I am like, I don't know and then she goes, where is the bathroom? She takes off through the quiet room to the bathroom. A couple minutes later my masseuse comes out and takes me to my room. After my massage, when I go up to front and ask the girls about the lady that came and approach me and how she scared the heck out of me and she goes yeah, sorry about that. Now, for me, I am just saying, there should be some sort of lock or a door that people just can't walk through to the quiet room. I was there at 5:45 pm and the place was basically empty, minus some shady lady and a couple staff, and if I did undress and was in that room, I would be very uncomfortable going back. Anyone at anytime can walk in the room while you are in there dressed or undressed and there is no one up front to stop them or is there? The business replied the lady that was disruptive was a client. No, she was not and non clients shouldn't be allowed in the quiet room where people are undressed for massages.
I was very excited for my deep tissue massage. I had been having some pretty bad lower back pain and was looking forward to some relief. I selected "any provider" when booking because of the spa’s good reputation and the fact that these are trained professionals; surely it would be a good experience. When I came in the front desk staff and the ambience of the spa was wonderful. But my service provider, Diane was very condescending from the start of the service. I can handle a little attitude from others, but seriously I’m paying (a lot) for this massage, so I would have appreciated a good attitude and a relaxing experience. She made me uncomfortable from the beginning, but I tried to let it go and just focus on the massage. I told her where my pain was (lower back) and kept waiting for her to get to that area, but she never touched it. And I didn’t tell her because I just wanted the experience to be over. So I left $100 spent and no relief to my lower back. She did give good pressure, but assumed because I look younger that I "couldn’t handle much more pressure, or else I would scream" like, what does that even mean? Kinda rude to make assumptions about others like that, how about just asking me if the current pressure is okay? I didn’t say anything to her or the front desk staff before I left because I just wanted to get out of there. But as the days have gone on, I realized that I was wronged and I wouldn’t want others to make the mistake of blind booking here and wind up with Diane. Maybe she’s nicer to people who appear older, I don’t know. But her condescending attitude seemed to come from her perception of my age – which wasn’t even correct. I have had previous positive experiences at this spa, but this was not enjoyable.
I had a 45min massage session with (I believe was) Audry this morning. I enjoyed the quiet area before going to the room, the couches could use some pillows to help support the back. The refreshment station was well stocked. The place was nice and clean and smelled amazing. There were a few things that made this not a 5-star experience. First, I booked online for the massage with the aromatherapy, however I was not asked to pick a scent at check in like I was at my previous visit. Second, was throughout my entire Massage session the tech was talking and trying to carry on a conversation. I came in for a little me time (which is a rare opportunity for me) but my peace and relaxation were constantly interrupted by chatter. I am all for the occasional "are you comfortable" or "is the pressure ok?" but not full-on conversations. The third and final thing was when she was doing the massage on my neck with the tiger balm she was running her hands over my hair. Which then deposited the oils from the tiger balm into my hair leaving my hair feeling greasy (perhaps offering a hair wrap to help keep the oils out of the hair). The massage itself was fairly good, but the constant chatter took away from the peaceful and relaxing atmosphere I was in search of today.
