This is the first and only place I’ve ever gotten a deep tissue massage, and it’s honestly changed the way I think about recovery. I’ve tried pretty much all of their services, from massages to contrast therapy and every single one of them is worth it if you’re serious about your health, performance, or just taking care of your body. For the past 2–3 months, I had been dealing with some lingering issues in my left leg, specifically my anterior tibia and hamstring. It had started affecting my running and overall training, and I wasn’t sure how I’d get back to my normal routine. After a few sessions of deep tissue massage and contrast therapy here, I noticed a huge difference. The pain and tightness eased up, and I was able to gradually get back to running again. Now I’m feeling strong and ready for my upcoming 10K. What I really appreciate about this place is the staff ( Vanja ) takes the time to understand your specific needs, tailor the treatments to your body, and explain what’s happening along the way. It doesn’t feel like a standard session, you feel genuinely cared for. If you’re dealing with any nagging injuries, need a serious recovery session, or just want to invest in your long-term health, I can’t recommend this place enough.

After playing hockey at a high level for most of my life, my body was really breaking down And constantly sore, I know I had to do something about it. So I started researching different places Who specialize in muscle recovery. I found Vanja at Sports Recovery and Spa and I’ve never looked back… She’s a great communicator and super knowledgeable about what I need to perform at my best in and out of the gym. I work a very physical job at UPS and before I went to Sports Recovery and Spa it was difficult to get through the days. Vanja Introduced me to cupping and scraping to help my muscle muscles recover. I can’t say enough good things about this place. It really is the best place for muscle recovery.

I’ve had an extremely positive experience with Sports Recovery Spa from start to finish. Vanja was incredibly smart, professional, and attentive throughout the entire process, and communication was always clear and accommodating, even when I needed to reschedule. The bodywork itself has been a complete game changer for me—my mobility, muscle activation, and overall balance have improved noticeably after each session. I’ve felt major changes in my hips, glutes, quads, and even how my feet strike the ground when I walk or train. It’s rare to find recovery work that makes such a clear, immediate difference while also setting you up for long-term progress. You can tell Vanja genuinely cares about your results and understands how the body works at a high level. Highly recommend this place to anyone training hard, dealing with imbalances, or serious about recovery and performance.

I have been going here for a few months. Vanja does great work. Whether I ask for any specific body part to receive treatment or she determines it on her own, I’m left feeling refreshed. This massage is levels above the regular massages I would get at some other places since Vanja is a massage therapist. I recommend giving it a try.

Couldn’t recommend this place enough! So marathon runner here and in the beginning of the year I suffered two stress fractures one on each leg. Even after countless months of physical therapy I couldn’t get rid of inner shin pain and arch pain in my legs. I’ve been seeing Lori for a few weeks now and I’m glad to report that I have absolutely zero pain which is important as I’m about to run the Chicago marathon in the upcoming weeks. Sports recovery spa has a lot of awesome equipment that I’m still yet to try out but hopefully will soon but I have to say Loris massages are a miracle. I would recommend this place to anyone with any sort of ache or pains that they may have and an absolute MUST for athletes. To start there’s not many non "chain" places around and they run a small business with quality work and affordable prices. I will keep coming back! Thanks Lori and the team at Sports Recovery Spa!

Did the couples infrared sauna session for the first time and it was a great experience. It was very relaxing and I love that you can connect your phone to Bluetooth for the sauna speakers. We will definitely be back!
