Had a great massage with my mother here. The gentleman that did my massage was excellent and techniques were perfect and applied with correct pressure. The facility and shop were small but beautiful with a variety of great products and perfumes. I will say it would be easier to access if you just go through the Starbucks next door and directly to the spa as otherwise it was a little bit of a maze. The front desk associate upon checkout wasn't very friendly because I had a groupon which was expressed at time of booking but otherwise was a nice experience with my mom.
I had a great massage with Michelle and a wonderful facial with Priscilla. Both listened to my concerns and tailored their service. The staff was very warm and attentive and the environment was calming. If I come back to Savannah, will have another spa visit!
From beginning to end, communication with the spa team, the technicians and the staff at the Westin Resort, even was wonderful. I had a full day of pampering with a massage, facial, hydrating therapy, sauna and steam room. Wimon and Quiana took excellent care of me and I left feeling so revived and exhilarated after a bout of jet lag from traveling. The icing on the cake is the calming ambience of the sanctuary for complete relaxation with hot neck warmers, drinks and snacks in between waiting or at your leisure. We will most definitely be back and have found our 5-Star spa go to when visiting Savannah!
My wife uses this spa a few times a year. She often brings friends. Today she had to cancel her and a friends appointment because of impending snow/ice and a warning about hazardous road conditions developing throughout the afternoon. The Spa told me that they would cancel the reservation, but we’d still have to pay a $50 fee. Understand that the weather is bad, but they won’t make any exceptions to that policy. So my wife is advised not to drive because the road conditions will be dangerous. And the Weston doesn’t think that this is an exception to the rule. There’s a lot of great spas in this city. My wife and her friends will be using them going forward.
I visited this spa in October 2024. Please note the spa is not on property but a short shuttle ride provided by the hotel. You could probably walk it in 10 minutes as long as it’s not too hot. The reception area is fully stocked with any skincare product you can think of. There is a steam room, sauna and very nice relaxation room with water and snacks. The staff was very polite and served champagne before my treatment. I do agree with other reviewers that the spa, while luxury, is showing signs of age. It was probably really nice 20 years ago. Like the rooms at the hotel, it is time for a renovation. That did not bother me so much as there was not a consistent attendant in the women’s changing area. There were towels in the showers, used cups in the changing area that should be cleaned up a little faster. They were there before I went into my 80-minute treatment and there when I came out. I didn’t want to shower as I am sure it hadn’t been sanitized after the last guest. My therapist was excellent and overall the service was good. There are limited luxury spa options in Savannah, so I would probably return.
We are experienced spa goers and my basic spa standard begs the question, Is the facility as nice or nicer than my own home? In this case, absolutely not. Pricing is comparable to other spas in the area. Go elsewhere!!! I expect better from a Marriott brand. The changing area was the size of a broom closet and faintly smelled like old wet carpet, at least I tried to convince myself that’s what it was. Shower was open at the top and next to the toilets. So you could hear EVERYTHING including loud flushing. The rattling shower handle and shower amenity box all needed screw tightening and a robe hook because an exposed screw doesn’t work. The rusting doors were absolutely shameful. Staff walked by the serene, quiet area stalking loudly on multiple passes, and spoke loudly throughout the spa experience. I shouldn’t have to ask you to whisper. I was asked if I brought something for my hair, most spas have cheap elastics or something for hair. Overall it was very disappointing everything needs an update from the old, dingy lockers to the Formica marble counter tops. OR don’t charge premium prices. In this case I did not get what I paid for.
I recently visited this spa with high expectations, but unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. Upon arrival, I was informed that the steam room was out of service, which was not mentioned in advance. At check-in, I agreed to an add-on service that I was looking forward to. However, the massage therapist didn’t perform it. When I asked about it afterward, he mentioned that the front desk hadn’t informed him, while the front desk said he was new and should have known. It was unclear where the breakdown in communication happened, but as a guest, I was left feeling confused and disappointed. To add to the frustration, I was still asked to leave a 20% gratuity despite the oversight. While I understand that mistakes happen, plus of course I was not charged for the service, I would have appreciated more accountability and a gesture of goodwill to make up for the experience. Overall, the massage was good. However, I felt like the therapist was truly rushing through the service. I hope this feedback helps the spa improve communication between the front desk and therapists, and ensure guests receive the full experience they are expecting.
