People need to come here with cultural expectations. You are supposed to get completely naked to use the spa and sauna. Please shower thoroughly before using any of the facilities. Uniforms are provided for the dry co-ed area. The cafeteria has lots of options, but rather pricey, I chose to eat lunch next door at Paik's noodles instead. I got a 60mins scrubs and combo service, the scrub is rough even compared to Korean standard, highly effective though. The massage is equally rough, just come with expectation that you are here for wellness and not relaxation and you will be good 😅 Facilities are very clean and well kept. High traffic even on a Monday.

I’ve been visiting this spa since it opened and have renewed the 10-visit pass many times. My favorite hot room was under construction during my last visit, so I was excited to try it again today. However, the moment I entered, the smell was so strong and unpleasant that I couldn’t stay inside for more than 10 seconds. The same issue happened in another "bean room"—also completely empty even during rush hour. When I asked the front desk about it, the staff’s attitude was dismissive. I think her name is Eugene. She kept saying it wasn’t related and only said she would "check," without any real concern. She seems very impatient. I don't know if she's going or not, I just left. Considering the regular price is $40 per visit (or $35 even with the 10-visit pass), I really feel the maintenance and quality of this spa have gone downhill. I will not renew my 10 times pass and I will definitely report to department of health if this is continued.

This was my first visit to a Korean spa in the Bay Area, and while it’s smaller than many of its counterparts in Los Angeles, it still offers a solid experience within its capacity. The facility was generally clean and well-staffed, which added to the overall comfort. The amenities in the co-ed area were impressive, but I found the bath section to be quite limited. There was only one hot bath and one cold bath, whereas most Korean spas I’ve been to typically offer at least two hot baths with varying temperatures. That said, one unique feature was their massage room, where you can enjoy a complimentary 30-minute session in a massage chair—a nice and unexpected perk. Overall, it was a moderately pleasant experience. If I’m back in the Bay Area, I’ll likely explore other spa options, but I’m glad I gave this one a try.

I was a first time visitor from out of state and as a traveler I have visited many such spaces, including overseas, and this was a pleasant surprise to find in the south bay. It is very family oriented, clean and the staff were all helpful and professional. I especially appreciated Eunice at the front desk who gave me the intro tour, and my goodness Mimi gifted me the best massage I’ve had in years. The kind of bodywork done not just with hands but her arms and knees too. This girl was strong and the experience amazing. They supply everything you need, no fluffy robes but an efficient t-shirt and shorts uniform for all guests, and soaps, creams and conditioner. It was very popular on a Friday around noon, I imagine it can get crowded if you go during peak hours so time your visit accordingly. I will definitely be back whenever I’m in town again. Keep up the good work Bay Spa!

The facility was not what I was expecting. I should note that this was my first time at a co-ed Korean spa, so my expectations were based on my experience at Pearl Spa in SF (which I love and is female-only). For the price, I felt the amenities were lacking—particularly the absence of higher-quality, brand-name hair and skincare products. I was also a bit put off by the slimy or film-like residue in the hot tub. You have to turn on the jets every 10 mins, which was a bit annoying. I speak and understand Korean, and I overheard a staff member being quite rude to an elderly Vietnamese woman. While the guest was also somewhat demanding, the interaction still felt unprofessional. The food was decent but overpriced. I ordered the spicy pork bowl. The $130 for scrub and massage was decent. I asked that she focus on my back but felt like my request was ignored. There is also NO privacy between each person. I saw overhead curtains but they weren’t being used. I also noticed a tip was automatically charged to my card after I left. I intentionally did not tip due to my overall experience, so this was unexpected and concerning. Overall, I would not return. Probably best for couples who want to spend some time together in co-ed area.

My experience at Bay Spa was truly extraordinary from start to finish. The atmosphere was calm, welcoming, and perfectly designed to help guests relax and unwind. Every detail, from the soothing environment to the attentive service, made the visit feel special and memorable. What truly stood out, however, was the exceptional service provided by our server, Noah. He was incredibly kind, respectful, and genuinely attentive throughout the entire experience. Noah made sure we were comfortable, patiently answered all our questions, and went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. His warm attitude and professionalism added a personal touch that made the visit even more enjoyable. Thanks to the relaxing ambiance of Bay Spa and Noah’s outstanding service, this was an experience I won’t forget. I would highly recommend Bay Spa to anyone looking for a peaceful, high-quality spa experience with staff who truly care about their guests

I've been to Bay Spa when they first opened up. I haven't been in over a year. I've gone to many Korean spas down in SoCal for many years. That being said here is my review. The mens spa area where you can shower and go into the sauna is relatively clean. The locker room area also clean. Just like many Korean spas they offer shaving kits and tooth brushes. Here's the bad part. For both the men and women's spa (partner went to women's side) the hot tub when you sit in it is slimy feeling. The hot tub is not that hot. The cold tub also had a slimy film and bubbles in it. This is the first time I've ever experienced that in any Korean spa. When I first visited Bay Spa it did not feel this way. I noticed many of the men who come out of the sauna just jump right into the hot tub or cold tub without when rinsing. I think there needs to be a worker enforcing this as I think that is what is causing the issue of slimy feeling water. The food was good and priced decently for the bay area. The staff is friendly. The massage chairs and community saunas are clean and well maintained. Overall Bay Spa is great, they just really need to fix the slimy hot tub and cold tub. Not sure if I'll go back to try and find out if the water is not slimy feeling. If this changes and someone can confirm hot tub is not slimy when you sit down I'll come back.
