Orchid Thai Massage & Spa

While I enjoy Thai massage including walking on my back, i have never experienced bare feet on direct skin before. Feeling her clammy feet on my back wasn't relaxing, and then seeing that she was walking around the facility barefoot was unsettling (see photos for floor conditions). They are also on the first floor and even with my earplugs in it sounded as if file cabinets were being dragged across the upper floor. While I know they cant control this, id recommend finding a place in a different location if you are noise sensitive like me.

Love this little place and love that it's family owned. I'm new in town and Meow was recommended to me by a friend. For being such a small woman she sure is strong. If you've ever rolled out your muscles on a tennis ball, that's what Meow's little heel feels like in your muscles. Her fingers are really strong too for when she's working you after walking on your back. I really liked the head massage part, that's my favorite. For people that don't know, Thai massage includes the person walking on your back, followed by elbows and hands to massage out smaller knots. This is then followed with stretching and popping your back and various other joints to help with passive flexibility. Please let your massage therapist know if you have any medical conditions or joint issues, especially for Thai massages! They also offer Swedish and deep tissue massages, but I did their Thai massage.

This place is fantastic. I've seen Jaci many times now. She checks in on how I'm doing while providing an amazing therapeutic massage. I will continue to return here.

All 5 stars deserved here. Super clean, professional, and this will be my new go-to Spot in SB now. Have been to zen massage over on milpas and this is way better. Highly recommend Meaw along with all the other 5 star reviews she has!

The BEST Thai massage in town and I’ve been to all of them! I tell everyone about this place. The space is Always clean, and the women are strong and skilled masseuses. I’ve never had a bad experience. Very friendly professional people working there👍🏽

Orchid Thai massage is a great place to go for a massage in Santa Barbara. It has easy parking and the rooms are quiet and private and the staff is very friendly and welcoming. I have had several massages from BB at Orchid Thai and she is a wonderful and very talented massage therapist. She can provide any pressure level that you want with great massage technique including very beneficial stretching. I highly recommend her for your next massage.

I can’t believe this place has the rating it does, because it was the worst massage have ever had in my life. There is absolutely no way that the woman who gave me my "deep tissue" massage was trained or licensed. She didn’t know a single massage tactic, wouldn’t apply any pressure unless I asked her to, and then just proceeded to make the same motion with her elbow in my back for the rest of the time. I booked this appointment while in Santa Barbara on a trip as I'm having terrible back spasms and I actually left this massage feeling worse, which is shocking. Waste of time and money--if you're reading this, I recommend choosing another Thai massage place. EDIT after seeing the response from owner: I did stop the massage multiple times to politely ask for what I wanted. There was a language barrier. Fellow customers should notice that the owner's response took absolutely no accountability for the sub-par experience.
