My back feels bruised after my massage. I’ve had deep tissue lots of times but have never woke up the next day with my back feeling bruised. The massage therapist was very nice but I try other places or stick to the places I know.
I have been going here for years, and this year finally became a member. It is my go to spot for all things self care! I love the staff and the facility! I have never had a bad experience here!
I was gifted gift certificates by friends for massages to help me relax as I was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. I called multiple times trying to schedule and when I finally got a call back to schedule, I was open about my diagnosis. I was refused service. They told me that they would not massage me because I have cancer. I asked if I could have the money back and was told they would have to talk to the owner. I already feel awful and this was such a horrible thing to hear. I wish they had notices posted on their website. They could have been more compassionate. I do not recommend this business. If I could give zero stars I would.
Horrible experience due to the male receptionist. My wife loves this place and decided to get her a gift card Surprise appt for Mother’s Day. Came in today (Friday) to schedule an appt for her for a Mother’s Day present. I told the male receptionist that it was a gift and if he could make the gift card nice for me to surprise her on Mother’s Day (Sunday). Everything went fine, got her a 90 minute massage, peppermint scalp, and even added a 20% gratuity for the masseuse. An hour later passes and my wife calls me and says "I have a spa appointment", I laughed and told her yes, and I thought it would be a surprise. I called the store back to question the male receptionist who helped me that I told him it was a surprise and why did you guys notify my wife. He told me it was an automated thing and nothing he could do about it. I asked him why he didn’t tell me that you guys were going to do that when I explained to him the whole time it was a Mother’s Day gift and I even asked him to write on the gift card "looking forward to seeing you etc". Then he started giving me major attitude, stating "I don’t know what you want me to do, I am very busy right now, it’s Mother’s Day weekend and I have a lot to do", he then was like do you want a refund then. He did not own up that he neglected to tell me an automated message would notify my wife about the purchase and kept telling me how busy he was and did not want to deal with my concerns. I simply asked him to talk to a manager and he told me she was busy and would call me back. I drove back to the store and confronted the male receptionist and luckily the manager Liane was present too. The worker again got all defensive in front of Liane and was trying to defend himself and stating he didn’t know it was a surprise Mother’s Day gift even though and stormed off saying he was not going to deal with this.. I spoke to Liane the owner and told her I was not upset about them notifying my wife about the appointment but just wanted to question the receptionist on why he didn’t tell me they were going to do that. I explained I was more upset with how the male receptionist handled the situation and the attitude he gave me on the phone. Instead of owning up to his mistake and having conflict resolution skills as a customer service receptionist. He instead started making excuses that it wasn’t his fault and repeatedly told me how busy he was at work and that he didn’t want to deal with this. Instead he kept asking me what I wanted from him and kept asking me if I wanted him to refund my money. My wife absolutely loves this place and the manager/ owner Liane is very pleasant to work with. I just honestly can’t spend my money at an establishment that employs such rude customer service receptionist. I am appalled on how this worker can talk to customers like that, I bet he talked to me that way when Liane was not around and I’m afraid if she keeps an employee like that, she will lose more and more clients she is unaware of. Sad that one person (employee) could damage a customer for life. We will never do business with this establishment again if that male receptionist is employed. The attitude and blaming how busy he was, instead of just apologizing for the mistake. Hope Liane reviews her cameras and hears how much attitude and excuses he tells your customers when you are not around.
Some might find it strange but I like this place for the way they charge membership fee. It’s a charge of $85 per month which can be used towards masseuse fee and tip. Therefore, BECAUSE I know I’ve been charged I have the incentive to go and use the facility. The place is clean & staff is friendly. Masseuses are a personal choice and so far I’m pleased with 2 out of three that I’ve had appointments with.
So disappointed with the Spa for cancelling two of my appointments last minute indicating it as a human mistake. They claim their policy is to cancel within 24hours, so that's what they did. Left me hanging to not have enough time to find another spa. Do not recommend if you are counting on them for any service. Unfortunately, years of going to the spa will have to come to an end.
I'm giving 3 stars for the price, the availability that they have opening was great, the quality of the massage was eehh-okay. Masseur was all over the place, focused more on one side more then the other (it's not even the side that needs more work, referring to my upper back), but the pressure was great. Minus 2 stars for cleanliness: plastic cups everywhere (on the counter, in the waiting room, on the shelf), i entered the room and there were slippers from the person before, and lastly customer service was just okay. The masseur was not nice, even though I have her $20 tip. There was a pillow case for the head-rest, almost made me suffocate, couldn't breathe and made my nose even more stuffy. (Half a star taken out for this) Although there was a sauna, no one offered it before and/or after. I was already paying when they offered. Overall experience, was good for a quick massage treatment.
