I treated myself to a delightful Chinese massage and foot reflexology on my birthday. Had the pleasure of spending 2 hours with Cindy, who delivered an incredible massage experience. She was very attentive and skillful in identifying my problem areas and applying precise pressure and other techniques. Massage rooms are really intimate (small) and semi-private and I can’t give the spa 5 stars until there are modern renovations. The prices are reasonable and appointments are recommended.

I visited this massage place for the first time tonight. All of the staff had a great vibe, and their massage technique was excellent. This is exactly the kind of massage I’ve been looking for in the Upper East Side. Without a doubt, this is the best place!

Before today, this would have been a 5 star review. But tonight I had a terrible massage. I have been going here for years and am used to it being consistently positive, the only gamble being if it’s going to be good or great, like one day getting an absolute rock star massage therapist and the next time just a pretty good one. But they have all been positive. Today, my massage started with no towel in the room, which you’re usually supposed to cover with. Then, a combination of the lightest touch in terms of firmness, and the least effective technique I’ve ever experienced, like a series of pokes instead of deep pressure stroking of the muscle. I also had to ask for more firmness multiple times throughout. At the end, I didn’t even feel like I’d had a massage. She barely spent any time on my neck at all. Maybe 15 seconds. I had to ask her to go back and spend a couple more minutes there, since that’s what’s been bothering me most. She also tried to skip the forearm/wrist massage that’s essential for anyone who spends their entire work days typing on a computer. I’ve never had to ask for it before because it’s always been automatically done there. I feel like it’s a training issue to skip over really important areas like that. Lastly, she used SO much oil that I left completely covered, including my hands, feet, and in my hair. Usually that’s not a problem here, since part of the process is wiping you off with a warm wet towel, but somehow I was still covered. My advice would be to ask for the name after you have a good massage here, and try to make future appointments only with someone you know you like. Again, it’s usually not a disappointing experience here, but not worth the risk of a bad massage, so keep a list of names you like.

My wife and I came here for the first time for foot massages and really enjoyed our experience. Both of us left very relaxed and will definitely be regular customers going forward.
