It was my first time here and it was wonderful. Smaller place but has everything you need. The salt room is amazing and i loved the one w the clay balls. My scrub/massage was great too. Sky was very skillful. Food was tasty (it would be great if the amazing lady in the kitchen had help at least for the drinks). I'll be back🌻

This spa is everything. It’s the therapy every woman needs. It’s clean, quiet, and the staff is adorable, kind and sweet. The food they serve is delicious and made in front of you by a lovely chef. I can’t say how this spa has benefited my mental health. It’s more than pampering it’s a little bubble full of positive feminine energy. Every time I've gone the women were always mindful and speaking quietly even when there were large groups.

One of the receptionists who I booked my appt with on the phone and who checked me in was super nice. The one when I was leaving was alright, not overly nice. The place is super clean and they seem like they're constantly maintaining it, which is great. You take your shoes off once you leave the reception area. I did see two women who had put their shoes next to them at the area with mirrors, blow dryers, lotion, etc. I wish they would enforce not having any shoes down on the floor in that area because not really fair for the rest of us walking around barefoot. They show you to your locker and you put your stuff in there and fully undress and put on there cute pink robes. You can explore the diff rooms (Himalayan salt, near infared magnetic, clay, jade steam, etc) before or after your appointments depending on when you get there. They suggest you arrive 15-30 mins before the appt so you can check in and settle in. There's food you can order but looks like only on weekends. I went on a Wednesday and had called to request an appointment for a massage and facial. They were able to book me for a couple hours later. I got a 60 min Swedish massage. They massage you with a sheet covering your body for the first half and then oil massage without the sheet for second half. I would've preferred oil massage the whole time, so I'm glad I know for next time. The 60 min hydrating facial was nice and relaxing. The esthetician would spread stuff on my face then use tools to massage it around, sometimes with the steam machine on. I was so relaxed / didn't get enough sleep the previous night so fell asleep lolol. When I woke up there was a mask fully on my face. Not sure how long that portion is. I think I'd go back and try to facial that has milk and honey. The rooms were cool to go in as I'd never been to a jjimjilbang before. You have to be naked for the shower room which includes the hot mineral tub, an area where you can pour mugwort water on yourself, and the scrubs. But otherwise, the remaining rooms you wear your robe. There's free parking in the lot. They don’t offer a birthday discount. Worth a shot asking though heh. I believe Queen Bee in Culver City gives you 10% off for your birthday month.

One really good experience, one really bad experience so now I’m not sure I’ll go back. The first time I went to Hugh Spa was kinda impromptu. I had been wanting steam room and sauna time. I saw Hugh spa on a review list of kspas in LA where it was described as a lesser known women’s only spa in a strip mall with few frills but still nice. It was between work and home so I decided to try it. The facilities were a bit worn in places but clean, the staff nice, and the scrub top-notch. The prices were reasonable, and as long as you are comfortable with single gender public nudity, I would have recommended it. Tried to go again today and it was awful. It made me question the safety of the place. I tried to write a description of what happened and Google character limited me. Leave it to say, the security guard in the parking lot is hostile to cars with only women in them and extra condescending to people who don’t speak fluent Spanish. He advocates for stupid and unsafe parking and I saw one actual car damage incident and two almost crashes based on his instructions. Bad choice for a Women’s only kspa with a tight lot. I wouldn’t want to be alone with him at night in that parking lot or trust my car to him. I tried to tell Hugh spa about this over the phone, but all the front desk cared about was whether I was coming in that day. When I said I had driven away because there was no easy parking AND the security guard made me feel unsafe, they actually asked me why I had called and said they needed the line open in case a customer called. Not sure I want to be a customer ever again then.

This was my first time venturing out to a new K spa in LA and I enjoyed Hugh. This woman’s only spa feels small but mighty, with a decent amount of amenities. The ladies who run the spa are very sweet. I got a body, facial & shampoo package, which was great value for the price. (admission price is waived when you purchase a service) A few tips before you go: they don’t offer slippers so bring your own clean shower shoes if you don’t want to walk around barefoot in the common areas. The parking lot is tight and packed so pad some extra time to find street parking in case. If you pay in cash you get free face masks (also bring cash for tip). I’m not sure how the food tastes but the yuzu slush I got was fantastic. Super refreshing and the perfect balance of not-too-sweet or bitter. Had a rejuvenating time here and would recommend.

🤩 BAM! Found my new happy place! Seriously, where has this Korean spa been all my life? How did I not find this gem sooner? It’s the perfect spot for mother-daughter time! Age 9 and up. Even though it's a smaller place, the variety of rooms is incredible: they have Jade, Charcoal, Infrared Magnet, Himalayan Salt, Ice, and Oxygen rooms, plus a Tea bath and Salt bath. The place is impeccably clean—seriously, bring socks and you might feel like you could ice skate across the floor! 🧊 We treated ourselves to the body scrub and a massage, and it was so relaxing. Just remember to book your services ahead of time (they ask for a credit card to hold the spot). They also have a cute cafe, but note that it's only open Friday through Sunday. Pro Tip for Parking: They have a small lot, but if you’re staying for the spa, aim for the spots closer to the street curb. To guarantee a good spot, try to get there before they even open, or you’ll be hunting for street parking! Stay hydrated while you’re there!

Spent half a day there with 3 friends and we all got the same Winter package special. Spa was nice and clean and staff very friendly. Services for everyone started on time and that was super nice. I've only been to one other Korean spa to compare to. This was much smaller but still had similar amenities/rooms. Couple cons were that the floors were slippery, the scrub was a little harder than I prefer and only one hot tub to soak in pre-scrub. Massage was definitely more the hard acupressure type. The lymph massage was perfect and they even washed our hair. Facial was good and the group was split 50/50 on the body wrap, two people were claustrophobic. But, all of us had soft glowy skin afterwards!
