Iowa Recovery Room

This place is truly amazing! 10/10 highly recommend. There are 3 different float tanks to choose from based on comfort level. I have done them all and prefer the original tank but have to admit the float pod and float cabin are nice. Highly recommend doing the infrared sauna before a float to help calm the mind before. The floats help my muscles and my mind relax... I leave feeling like I got a massage. Make sure to hydrate after! The sauna and cold bath are an amazing combo to get you energized. Don’t recommend the cold bath before a float, but on a separate day. Patrick is wonderful and keeps the place clean and looking great. Oh, and great entry prices! Wish I lived in Iowa city, this would be my second home. Give this a try, you will not regret it.

Absolutely love Iowa Recovery Room and everything I’ve done there. Highly recommend!!! Relaxing, clean and the owner is the absolute best!! I love doing the sauna before doing a float. I would have to say my second favorite thing there is the cold water bath, I was surprised how good I felt after! You can’t go wrong with a good chair massage either!!

It is a blessing to have these services available in Iowa City. The owner is down to earth, friendly, not a pushy salesman, welcoming. The sauna is an escape from the stresses of life, refreshing, private, quiet and affordable for anyone. I have only had positive experiences there and plan on going back quite often. An asset to the community!

This is one of my favorite spots! The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful and the services offered are top notch! If you’ve never tried a float tank I highly recommend it and I recommend starting here. They have something for everyone and I would highly recommend Iowa Recovery Room!

Going to the Iowa Recovery Room has been an amazing experience every time. The owner and receptionists are always super pleasant to interact with. The sauna/cold plunge combo is great and following it up with a float is even better! I always leave feeling grounded, relaxed and refreshed!

I had an exceptional experience at the Iowa Recovery Room. The facilities were extremely clean and aesthetically pleasing. Patrick was very considerate and made me feel welcome. The float was very relaxing and the temperature control feature was a major plus. I’ll be going back to try the ice bath and sauna combination. 5 stars all the way! Many thanks!
