I LOVE this salon! There's a reason there are so many great reviews for this salon already, not to mention a huge following and waitlist to get haircuts here. The ambiance and vibe in here is chill/fun/down to earth and I love the big glass windows and spaciousness in here. I personally prefer the FH location over the Berkeley one, I haven't been to Berkeley but I just love how big FH is and how convenient it is as it's also right next door to the best bakery, MK Canelle. I come here exclusively for trims/a quick haircut and have been pleased with anyone I have seen, whether they are a "lower level" stylist versus a master stylist. I believe the lowest cuts start around $48? and go up towards the $70 ish range. I appreciate the different pricings available per stylist but beware they do book up quickly here if you do find someone you like... I usually have to book 2-3 months out which I do NOT love but it's ok since I love this place. So far I have had Alana, Olivia and Hannah and all of the stylists were awesome and ensured I had a great experience. My recent favorite is Alana who listened to my concerns and had me in and out of my chair in no time as I just wanted a quick trim and layers for my short hair. She was pleasant, efficient and knows her craft. She also was a perfectionist and checking to make sure everything was even and cut right once dried. My hair smelled amazing after all the products and I looked and felt like a million bucks hair wise, I got compliments from my family after they saw it! I highly recommend this salon, it is the only place I like to come to in the metro detroit area, prices are very fair / always transparent (no surprises at the end with an uncharge for some random unwelcome reason) and most importantly everyone here is friendly/welcoming and excellent at what they do!

Angie was awesome. It was my first time going to her, we discussed my hair and its needs, I showed her some examples of what I was going for and she did exactly what I wanted. My hair is beautiful and I couldn’t have asked for better! Angie was really lovely to talk to, and gave me a lot of really good info and advice about care for my particular type of hair. We chatted before the appointment about what I wanted and she discussed price very transparently with me before she even did anything, which I really appreciate. Thank you!!!

I’d give higher than 5⭐️ if I could, to be honest. This was the second time I went to see Olivia and she is SO GOOD AT WHAT SHE DOES! I had a cut and treatment the first time which was a nice little refresh. This time I had a cut with highlights/styling and she hit it out of the park! Bonus she’s fantastic company and takes great care of you the entire time you’re there! Compliments I received later that day: "Your hair looks FABULOUS". " OMG!!!!!!! ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥" "Oh, so you’re like pretty pretty". Go see her, you will not be disappointed! The salon is cozy and the staff is awesome!

I had an amazing experience with Hanna Hartway for my brow lamination, and I couldn’t be happier with the results! From start to finish, Hanna was professional, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable. She took the time to explain the process to me and made sure I felt comfortable every step of the way. The brow lamination itself turned out perfect—my brows have never looked so full and shaped! Hanna’s attention to detail is unmatched, and I can tell she truly cares about her craft. I walked out feeling like a million bucks! Highly recommend Hanna to anyone looking to get their brows done. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Just started monthly facials with Hanna and have been happy with the plant peel and anti aging facial results. Very relaxing massage and a pleasant experience. My skin is calm and more uniform in color and texture. It’s a reasonably priced facial with results and I highly recommend a facial with Hanna! Shout-out to Melinda who does my hair, too! I have been a regular at the Salon in Farmington for maybe twenty years. It’s always a friendly place and Aveda products are the very, very best.

Legato is simple perfection. I was new to color and Angie was an absolute master at ushering me into some of the most beautiful hair I’ve ever had. She provided a careful consultation, explained how different color options and services worked and developed a service that was just right for me. Upfront time and pricing was laid out so no surprises. I have never received so many compliments on my hair and I can’t wait to see what we can do next! Plus, all the Aveda tea I could drink! 10/10 would highly recommend Angie!

Love this salon. Dayna is really great. Super sweet. Always gives hugs to her clients and greets them warmly. Love the wonderful products. The pre start scalp massage Dayna gave was Aaaammazzzinnggg! Wish I could have an hour of that! She blows out my giant super long course hair like a pro to a smooth beautiful finish. Always love the ice tea and beautiful salon. It had been 5 years since my last visit. I was a bit surprised when I checked out and the price increased about $20+ from what I can remember for a hair cut & blow out. I am very THANKFUL for the salon in my home town that charges 70% less and 90% as good as Dayna. There are no scalp massages, ice tea, black robes or large front window view of downtown Farmington, but... that's ok. I give 4 stars because the price with tip was $75. To expensive for our budget even for a once per 5 year trip. I am sure the blow time was a factor along with all the other "complimentary services". It was great while it lasted and was nice to bring my daughter along. 😊
