Renaissance Daytona Beach Oceanfront Hotel

Absolutely phenomenal!! I just recently had my wedding here and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The views are gorgeous and the property is so tastefully designed and decorated. The staff was the definition of amazing hospitality. From Bryon at the front desk the the gentleman at valet (I can’t remember his name but he was blonde with a smaller build). They took care of me and all my wedding guests so professionally. I did not have a single guest complain of anything. Once I went to my suite to get ready moments later Bryon came up with some fruit and a drink. The best service I have ever received! (Small detail but it’s definitely worth mentioning that the fruit was even cute beautifully). I fell like all the staff had amazing attention to detail. From housekeeping making sure that the suite was clean and beautiful, to Bryon and valet for hospitality, and the restaurant having beautiful cut and fresh fruit. The truly made my day special!

We chose the Renaissance for a staycation to celebrate my sister’s birthday, hoping for something relaxing. Unfortunately, the experience was anything but. From the moment we arrived, things felt chaotic. There had just been an accident directly in front of the hotel where a valet struck a pedestrian, so we waited 15–20 minutes just to pull up. Once they assisted the pedestrian and we were able to pull, the valet attendant walked right past our car without acknowledging us. When I approached the valet desk with luggage, the attendant seemed surprised that we were even staying there. I had to explain why I was standing there with bags. There were no luggage carts available even an hour and a half after check-in began. I was told someone could help "if I really wanted," but no one ever came. Valet was a nightmare. I booked with a corporate rate that states $20 per night valet, yet I was charged $40. On top of that, my guest’s valet charge was added to my bill even though he paid cash at the valet desk. The next morning, staff said they couldn’t find the cash he paid. They had to call the employee who worked at 10:20 PM the night before when he paid to confirm the payment. My guest didn’t receive a receipt, so he had to be called and describe the person who took his money. Not only was this uncomfortable and embarrassing, but he was also overcharged—$40 for five hours, when the rate should have been $30. It took hours to try to fix these issues, and my bill still wasn’t resolved when I checked out. I stood at the front desk while they waited for confirmation, which was incredibly awkward. We were also told at check-in that we had a $15 food and beverage credit. When I went to use it at checkout, I was suddenly told that I didn’t qualify because I booked with a corporate rate. The hotel itself is beautiful, but the service was far from magical. Between the disorganization, billing errors, lack of communication, and poor first impression, this was one of the worst service experiences I’ve had in a long time. It’s disappointing, especially for a special occasion, and it does not make me eager to book with Marriott again.

The hotel is a one year old oceanfront (as advertised) property that is absolutely MAGNIFICENT! The pool/bar area is exactly what you would expect from a 5 star property. However, what is best is the staff. I was here last weekend and had such a wonderful experience that I came back the following weekend. As I was checking in, I was immediately recognized as a return guest by the weekend supervisor, Eddie. The hotel is 5 star in a 5 star location, but the staff, like Eddie, makes it a 10 star experience!

This hotel was magnificent and the views were OUT OF THIS WORLD! I woke up to the most incredible sunset and during the day, I worked outside by the pool with incredible beach views!!! The hotel was clean. The staff was helpful. The bartender was super fun and accommodating. The only issue I had was that the internet was out for at least 6 hours. It was only a problem because I was getting ready for a presentation the next day. Had I not had my hotspot with me, it would have been a significant issue because there's not much nearby by way of places to sit and work. The surroundings overall aren't excellent, but I'm hopeful that there will be some revitalization done soon. I would absolutely visit this hotel again. In fact, this hotel is what would bring me back to Daytona Beach! The views are just so peaceful and beautiful.

I recently stayed at the Renaissance Hotel in Daytona Beach and my experience with Raquel at the front desk was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I checked in, she went above and beyond without me even having to ask. Based on my status with Marriott, Raquel proactively upgraded my room and made sure everything about my stay started off on the right foot. This was especially refreshing because I had just come from a pretty disappointing experience at the Residence Inn Daytona Beach. Raquel completely turned my impression of the area around. Her professionalism, friendliness, and attention to detail are exactly what true hospitality should look like. Because of the service I received from her, I’ll absolutely be back to this hotel in the future and will be recommending it to others. Thank you, Raquel, for restoring the standard of great customer service and making my stay memorable.

We were extremely happy with this hotel starting with arrival. The front desk crew was very friendly. After checking in. We ordered a drink at the outdoor bar the bartender Brandon was very welcoming, informative and provided great service after a long day of travel. This was very much needed our rooms, spacious and beautiful everything in the hotel is clean and immaculate. The service is spot on all employees were very friendly and willing to share information and make this stay as good as possible for the customer. I will definitely return to stay here again. It gives you a feel of being out of the United States and in a tropical resort .well done Marriott. This is a beautiful property.

New property at a very nice location! Their service is nice the area is quiet. Usually very busy during holiday season. Make sure you get a quiet room not to the left as they are facing the neighboring air condition unit on the roof, odd numbers of rooms are way to go. Proximity to the beach is stunning and gives you nice sunrises obviously no sunset.
