Parkside Spa & Sauna

For the price you pay, Parkside is a great bang for your buck and the food inside is delicious. The kitchen closes at 7 so try to come early for that. The manager let us try their oven baked eggs even after the kitchen closed, which was very sweet. On the woman’s side, it was bit unkept. Soap bars with knots of hair and conditioner containers with loose, nearly empty bottles, and broken soap dispensers. Sauna still felt amazing and I enjoyed the hot tub with cold bath.

Compared to other Korean spas in the area, this one is really very nice. It’s very simple but clean and orderly. 2 pools (one hot, one cold) and 1 dry sauna and one steam room. That’s it. The common area is very chill, clean and quiet. I get massages all around the DMV and I am very particular about where I go, but I decided to try the body scrub and deep tissue massage. It was excellent. I took off 1 star because I wish they had regular body soap on pump versus the body bars. The owner is a nice person and the interaction was pleasant.

At first, this place seemed like a good value for the price. Unfortunately, my experience changed completely after visiting the men’s sauna area. Inside the steam rooms, I witnessed multiple male visitors openly masturbating in a public space, without any consideration for others or for the basic rules of a public sauna. This created an extremely uncomfortable and shocking environment for me. I stayed for no more than 10 minutes and left immediately. After this experience, I will not be returning and cannot recommend this place to anyone who expects a calm, respectful, and family-appropriate environment.

Such a great value for the price. Love dipping in the pools and relaxing in the saunas, the massage therapists do a thorough job, and the food is delicious. A great way to spend the day, especially when it's cold outside! Also, the people who work there were kind enough to come help me get my stuck car out of the icy parking spot when they saw me struggling to move it. I really appreciate them for coming to help even when they didnt have to. Highly recommend Parkside!

I am obsessed with Parkside. I come about 1-3 times a month and literally stay all day. This is my favorite of the k-spas in the area with simple little offerings, the cutest cafe (closed on tuesdays😢), and is closer to Maryland than the others in the area. Staff is friendly, the food Womens space is always clean & the services are of quality. I’ve been coming here for about a year now and look forward to continuing

On a whim I decided to come here instead the other Korean Spa options. Its a basic bath house, on the ladies side had showers - sit and stand areas, one hot pool, and one cool pool, 1 steam room, 1 dry sauna and stations for body scrubbing appointments. I decided to get the 90 minute option which including getting my whole body scrubbing, a deep massage including feet and arms, a facial and my hair shampoo and conditioned with a massage. Vicky did an amazing job 10 out of 10. I felt very taken care off which I really needed as a post-partum nursing mom with an 8 month old + 2 more kiddos. I felt extra glowy when I was finished and could see it when I went to change. My husband and I enjoyed the main area which has 2 dry saunas, one was a Himalayan Salt room and the other room I believe had a type of wood. The food was pretty looking and yummy. The Yuk Gey Jang was served all in gold with lovely sides, the kimchi pancake was quite large with an poached egg in the middle and the kimbap was fresh, had a nice shine and delicious. I enjoyed that I could call ahead of time to book a exfoliation service, instead of required to be on site and signed in to the area before scheduling, which helps manage time - especially if you're driving more than an hour away and have a baby you need to get back to. Thank you Parkside for making my experience amazing.

I had an amazing experience at this spa. I never been to a spa before. The staff upfront was very nice. Gave a tour. Since it was my first time at their facility. Went to the locker room. We had to strip down to our birthday suit. I was naked and afraid. At this time I say, why am I doing this. And then I said you know what let’s do this. It started off with a shower. Then soaking in the hot spa. Afterwards members were called for this Korean scrub; which was out of this world. Alice was very wonderful and kind and she directed what she was gonna do which made me feel very comfortable and I appreciated that very much. After the scrub went to the dry area then sauna then the cold area. The food there was great. Then went to the Himalaya sauna. Sat on the couch, watch different places on a big screen while tranquility music was being played at one point fell asleep. Woke up got some fruit. Went to the locker room, got dressed and went home. I would say that was the best day of my life ever, even though it started with me wanting to leave. I will definitely do this again. Thank you, Alice for making this a wonderful experience.
