BK Man

Great place to dine. Food is very good and service is great. Food was cooked properly. All dishes were awesome. The pork belly and the marinated short ribs is delicious. Korean bbq is legit here. You need to order atleast 2 orders of meats in order to cook at your table. Great restaurant highly recommended. Tables hold up to six people. Drinks are good here. The short rib soup with glass noodles is delicious. Food is great. The meat selections are awesome. Service is great.

We eat Korean boq a lot so I think we have pretty high standards. Sik Gaek was so amazing! It wasn't all you can eat but the quality of the food really came through. All the meat cuts we had were great but our favorite is always marinated kalbi. The starter salad was also a favorite. It's a fun ambiance for family dinner (a little noisy with the kpop music) but they were very nice and turned down the volume upon request. They cook the meat for you. The service was very attentive and kind! Mike was super helpful and taught us the Korean ways of preparing the lettuce wrap or to combine the meat with daikon. I can't wait to come back!

This place is a solid spot for Korean BBQ, especially if you like marinated short ribs. 😍The galbi was tender, flavorful, and grilled perfectly without being overly sweet. Side dishes were fresh and refilled generously, which made the meal even better. Definitely a place I’d come back to when craving Korean BBQ.❤️

Visited during the holidays in December with a group of 8 friends visiting from out of state. We arrived around 10 PM (restaurant closes at 1 AM), sober and respectful. Unfortunately, the service was hostile from the start. We were seated next to the kitchen, where there is a glass window facing our table. At one point, our server placed his phone directly against the glass with the camera facing us. From our perspective, it appeared we were being recorded. When asked about it, he denied recording and said "my boss was fixing something," yet left the phone there without a clear explanation. A simple gesture like removing the phone upon request would have resolved the issue when your customers are uncomfortable. A few minutes later, after my boyfriend jokingly posed for the camera for two seconds, the server came out and told him, "You’re not a kid anymore. Act your age." This was confusing and inappropriate, especially if he truly was not watching or recording. When we asked to speak to a manager, he then claimed he himself was the manager, contradicting his earlier statement of his boss being there. He also refused to give his name, saying it was none of our business. The food was mediocre for the price, but the service is what truly ruined the experience. One of our visiting friends calmly tried to explain why we felt uncomfortable, and the server was openly rude to him as well. After we left a lower tip due to the service, the server made a final, inappropriate comment: "Where are you guys from? Vietnamese, right?" said in a condescending tone. This was unnecessary and felt discriminatory, especially when we were all racially Asian. I started recording the event as evidence in case things went worse. We were polite throughout the entire visit and were not drunk (eight of us shared one soju since it was late). I even apologized to him for having to work during the holidays and was met with a hostile stare. I brought friends here hoping to share a place I once enjoyed, but instead our holiday night was ruined by unprofessional and disrespectful service. Never have I been treated so poorly as such being a paying customer in NYC, especially on the holidays.

I have now had the BBQ for lunch eat in, and the lunch special takeout. Good food—but never cheap. My takeout lunch was a combo of Kimchi jjigae and Spicy squid: as pictured. Ten years ago this might have been $16. Today it’s $26. Portions are conservative. It’s probably just the nature of today’s economy. The quality is high. Premium fresh ingredients are well-prepared. Big, fresh ginger, garlic & chili flavors abound.

I had my birthday party here over the weekend, and it was absolutely great! The food was wonderful—big portions perfect for sharing—and the service was amazing. From the manager, David, to the bartender, Michael, and the rest of the team(couldn’t catch their names), everyone made sure we had everything we needed. You can really tell this new management is a big upgrade! Highly recommend!
