Ester is absolutely incredible. She does everything herself - so it feels like your mom is making you a hot meal after a long day. Love her! Definitely order her bibimbap. Delicious <3
This review is for the portion. My husband stopped by this place to try it out and I had him order me an eel bowl. When he got home I was so disappointed on how SMALL this bowl is for $20!! I understand that eel can be pricey but you could at least give more rice and/or pickled sides. The bowl is the size of my hand and I’m only 5 ft and 110 lbs… my hand is small. Based on that, we won’t order from here again. The bowl is nothing special. I’ve had better and for less than what this place robs you for.
I called for order for pick up . I ordered spicy tuna kimbap and its been twice the same korean old lady telling me the vegetable is finished for kimbap but i dont trust her because she gave me the same excuse last time. She just dont wanna make it. Their closing time is 9pm. I called at around 7/ 7:30pm for pick up . Whats the point of opening a food business if you dont want to serve your customers? I have been their customer and I am so dissapointed and wont be going to this place or ordering anymore.
This takeout spot is near woodside station (no space for dine in). The place looked pretty clean and has the open kitchen style. The bibimbap was made to order( I called ahead). The vegetable were fresh and crunchy. It for sure tasted better than the ones at the grocery stores. You can also order online. Overall, fresh food but little pricey for the area.
I've been buying here for over 3 years and is fine that prices increased but the bulgogi over rice (deopbap) portions are smaller now especially on the meat side compared to even last year. I don't know what changed but it's not worth the price anymore. I really love this place and I hope it can be like it used to.
This new, under the radar Korean takeout spot opened last month. I love their super convenient location near the Woodside subway stop on 7 train. It’s a small family business that serves Kimbap, Kimchi, Pickled Veggies, Sushi Rolls, and other prepared food (noodles, rice bowls) along with smoothies, drinks, and snacks. The interior is quite cozy and there really isn’t any indoor seating area but there is a structure outside (shared with the restaurant next door) that has tables and chairs for outdoor dining. I got the Homemade Scallion Pancakes ($7.99), Dragon Roll ($12.95), and Homemade Kimchi Radish ($3.50). The Dragon Roll had Crab meat, Eel, Seaweed, and was topped with Avocados, Cucumbers, and sweet brown sauce (Teriyaki maybe?). It was yummy and very filling. The Kimchi Radish had a nice kick. It was slightly sour, tangy, and crunchy. The Scallion Pancakes was a fried vegetable pancake with carrots, onions, and scallions. It probably tasted better fresh when it was crunchy but still pretty tasty. The food all tasted fresh and really hit the spot. I’m jealous we don’t have something like this in my neighborhood. We need more grab and go spots that is not the grocery store.
An under the radar, unassuming takeout spot that I've always passed by but decided to do a pickup order today and to my surprise the quality of this place is amazing. I ordered the Chicken teriyaki bowl and bulgogi bibimbap and the taste was parallel to a sit down restaurant with delicious savory flavors, fresh crunchy vegetables throughout as well as being a more than satisfying portion. Love that there is stuff to order as well as having food and drinks to go. Also tried out the Boba which was noticeably cheaper than the ones in the immediate area. I had a tasty Taro Boba that wasn't too-too sweet(compliment) but with sub par Boba pearls that could've been fresher. Overall for a spot right outside woodside train station this is sure to be my new staple go to for some genuinely tasty and delicious food!
