Just had the most incredible lunch at Tamarack Taproom with my mom! The service? Unreal. Our server was hands-down the friendliest, kindest person I've met since moving here a year ago—she instantly made us feel at home. I'm on keto, and when I asked about diet swaps, she didn't miss a beat: burger over mixed greens, plus sautéed broccoli. Everything was delicious and flavorful! I didn't feel like I was on a diet at all. And get this—she warmed up our tea, which, honestly? Amazing. Can't rave enough, we're already planning our next visit!
I had the salmon and it was dry, probably the worst salmon I've had at a restaurant. The veggies were soggy, salmon tasted old and dry. The service was also slow (maybe it was a busy night). It took 30 minutes before the waiter even came to take my order. I will say that the atmosphere is fun, lively and decoration was delightful. If you're going for appetizers and drink, this could be a great place.
We decided to try this place while out holiday shopping. Our server was a nice and cheerful Madison. My daughter got the Caesar salad and I had the Godfather cheeseburger cooked perfectly. This place also has a crispiest tater tots I have ever had.
We were invited to join friends at the Tamarack Tap Room in Woodbury for dining and conversations with friends. We were stunned and impressed with the setting and lavish patio. It's like walking into a garden center for dinner and dinks. The menu offers typical pub grub favorites (e.g., wings, salads, soups, burgers, and flatbreads) and the food is on par. The Tap Room is an exceptional outdoor dining destination. Our group lingered for hours because there was space, the delights of the flowers, birds, outdoor evening lighting, and water fountain added much to our enjoyment. Once the main meal is over, one can sit and relax at leisure with a beverage and dessert. The menu has several gluten-free entrees: Wings, salads, tortilla chips and salsa, nachos, and cocktail beverages. However, I strongly advise that if someone in your party is lactose intolerant or has Celiac Disease, make arrangements in advance for substitutes. My top recommendation is the Ahi Tuna and Pear Arugula Salad. It has a nice balance of fresh avocado, cucumber, feta cheese in a yummy honey, and lemon vinaigrette salad dressing. I could use fewer fried onions that were heaped on top. It makes for a great presentation but adds unnecessary fattiness. The smash burgers are also great. For an appetizer, I like the Sriracha hummus with fresh veggies. The serving sizes are generous. They are super flexible with bar seating, table seating, outdoor seating, etc. You can dine in, do pick up, or have your food delivered. The Tap Room is highly regarded for its beer selection and happy hour. I'm not a beer drinker but I totally enjoyed the American dining experience. If you want a Bloody Mary, the garnish is lavish and can be considered the best part. They incorporate new slushie recipes into the menu weekly; it's fun to see their creativity. Service was very friendly and prompt. Parking is ample, they have their own large parking lot.
Food was ok, ordered the nacho supreme and ordered the extra meat, there was so little on it and way too many chips and a ranch type sauce all over it. I Asked for extra sour cream they brought a ranch type sauce instead, I asked what it was and she stated it was a cilantro sauce, I said I asked for sour cream, I ate as slow as possible 45 minutes later after someone ran to the store to get some I finally got some, if someone asks for extra sour cream like it states on the menu explain you really do not have sour cream, I would have ordered something different. The loaded tater tots were not worth the money. Just tater tots in a bowl with stuff sprinkled on 8 of them but not the other 20 under the 8, probably a plate would have worked better so the toppings would be on the other 20 tater tots, The desert I ordered was the apple crisp with ice cream with no caramel. It was ok but tasted like processed frozen stuff. The milk was going sour so returned that. Our server was nice, but forgetting items that I ordered or not saying we don't have that. The restaurant was not even busy, 4 tables had 2 people each including our table. The reviews had me excited to go there and was very disappointed.
Spacious, spotless, with a cheery sunlit atmosphere but not noisy. Attentive servers bring great food & sauces, with wide a selection of brews and well presented cocktails. The smoked gouda burger with whiskey sauce was excellent and the meat was cooked exactly as requested (perfect pink). Aside from very good IPAs, the skinny margarita was just as good as its' sugared version. Worth a fun repeat visit with friends and to explore their bourbons and scotch menus next time.
This Saturday me and Miles went to tamarack tap room in Woodbury Minnesota. Miles ordered the cream cheese wonton Burger medium pink in the middle with a side of french fries. I ordered the 1858 juicy Lucy burger with a side of fries. Both burgers were cooked perfectly and very tasty the french fries were some kind of weird cut and they were super crispy and seasoned well I ordered a side of seasoned sour cream for french fry dipping had a really great experience.
