Customer Reviews
Café Zupas has a rating of 4.3 out of 5 based on over 1769 reviews on Google
I haven't placed a review in a while because I have been doing lots of deliveries, and I hate reviewing them, but this one is a must. I just received my order and opened the packaging. We ordered a brisket sandwich, and it was just as others said - there was more bread than meat. It was a tiny ciabatta with a small amount of brisket it was the saddest sandwich I have ever seen. The box the sandwich came in was about 70% larger than the sandwich. I was too mad to take out the camera. But I got a chocolate-covered strawberry most likely to calm my rage from seeing such a tiny sandwich. On a good note, the microscopic pieces of brisket were tender and good, that's the only reason for the 1 star. Then I opened my lobster bisque. I am not sure who the people are eating lobster bisque these days, but this bisque was salty and did not have that homemade taste. It was not creamy at all, and the Lunds bisque is 100x better if you don't believe me, try it. They even skimped on the veggies in it. It was tomatoes and salt, and well, some bad quality frozen lobster. Then I got the wild rice blend on the side. Like some mentioned, it's literally a spoonful. The rice was tasteless with no seasoning whatsoever and it measured exactly 1 tablespoon. The roll was not that great it was bland. On a positive note, my girlfriend ordered a salad, and the salad was actually very good, and the size was a good size and had lots of flavors. I have nothing negative to say about that everything was right including the lettuce and greens looking fresh. I am not sure how this place got such a high rating unless it's all salad orders. I did notice on other platforms it's almost 4.5+, their taste buds must be missing, or people must not know what good food is anymore. I rarely leave 1 star reviews but had to on this one.
The ordering system in person is so chaotic for no reason. Orders were getting mixed up amongst customers by the time we all got to the register. The food prep area was a mess and a big turn off. I used to love coming here but it doesn’t seem worth the price anymore for the experience we received.
Cafe Zupas has a pretty healthy menu. The food is good, especially in wintertime when soup is inviting. We had turkey bacon avocado sandwiches with tomato basil soup, and we were not disappointed. The sodium can be a little high if you're watching that sort of thing, but that's true of most food you order out. Overall, I like the place and we plan to return.
This post is specifically towards the night time crew who is working November 15th. No sense of urgency when a line started to build up even though it was not that busy. Nothing compared to the lunch rush at least and infact handled worse nobody knew what to do there was a guy running around like a chicken with his head off and it looked like horrible management, again no sense of customer service or urgency. Except for the guy who checked us out he was kind but someone get the night shift crew a brain cell. Also I know what an Italian club looks like I live zupas I go to the one in Madison by my college all the time. I can definitley say it does have pepperoni on it which this does not and it also has more meat in general and the scraps of a tomato. Please I paid for shit today. Also I had my half soup fully ate when they finally decided to make my sandwich or whatever this is. I did not get to enjoy my combo in a combo lol.
First time being here. The service was great and the food was delicious!! I had the Power protein grain bowl and the strawberry daiquiri virgin juice bar, sooo yummy and healthy! I will definitely be back! You also get a complimentary chocolate dipped strawberry and a yummy, butterry roll! YUMMMMMMM!!! I didn't get a picture of the grain bowl but brought the roll and strawberry home.
Absolutely loved this place! The food was delicious and beautifully presented, the service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Everything came together for a perfect dining experience definitely a 5-star spot I can’t wait to visit again!
If you want healthy food with a bit of a twist this is your place! The food is amazing, the portions are quite big, and there’s a variety of stores within walking distance, which makes it the perfect place for a hangout. The service is outstanding: nice, friendly, and really willing to help out and make suggestions!
