Marshall's Bodacious BBQ

Wow wow wow! My husband and I were blown away at how delicious the food was! We both got the tri tip plates, but different sides. The tri tip was so tender and juicy (we ordered it Medium). We had the macaroni & cheese, cole slaw, chili beans and garlic bread. Everything was soo good! We're definitely coming back. Hands down one of the better BBQ houses in the 805! One small recommendation would be to have some music in the background, it was a bit to quiet. None the less, we're coming back and recommending it to all our friends and family!

Marshall emphatically answers the question of "Where is the MEAT?" And, so well cooked. (They had their BBQ grill going in their front yard. Hot on the spot.) This place is one of the most "Down Home" joints I've eaten in many moons. Their best efforts are in the food, which is really appreciated. I stopped for lunch at 1pm, and most of the orders were take-out from the working folks in the area. That tells you most of what you need to know. They know which places are best. The eat-in-area is as it would have been in 1960, but who cares when the food is top drawer? I had the best TriTip with BBQ beans and cole slaw. Superb. If you are looking for the best BBQ in Ventura, I suspect this place is Top-3. I say that only because I have a few places yet to visit. I promise that you will LOVE the food here.

Really cute place. I've been a few times now and they're always worth it. I feel like the garlic bread was a little better in years past, it was a bit dry today. But the tru tip and sauces are always fantastic.

I used to come here all the time with my dad and brothers when I was a teenager, I haven't been back in ages but i remember it fondly. Next time I'm ever in town I will most definitely be making a stop! Glad to see y'all are still open. I hope that sauce recipe hasn't changed much 🙂 best BBQ sauce ever!

The baby back ribs were moist and meaty. The 1/2 chicken was juicy and not too smokey. The barbque sauce original has got some bite try the honey sauce for a little sweeter. The sweet potato casserole was amazing as were the baked beans which had a light sweet smoke flavor. Portions were large. Prices were very reasonable. We will return.

Don’t skip this BBQ place! Excellent food, service & atmosphere. Pulled Pork sandwich, delicious flavors, moist, sweet, fresh! I have tasted pulled pork around the whole USA, I will be returning frequently to Marshall’s Bodacious BBQ!!

This place is amazing! Great bbq at fair prices and they really give you a lot of food for your money. Highly recommend the body builder burrito with the spicy bbq sauce!
