Master Ba's Hot Pot & BBQ

We visit this location of master Ba's Hot Pot every time we visit Fort Lauderdale and it's a great experience every time! The service and staff are excellent, even the little serving robot that brings us our orders. Love having individual hot plates and they offer many options to enjoy! We will always go back every time we visit the area!

This was our first experience with a hot pot and it was exactly that... An experience! We had fun creating our own tasty dishes. Great options for a variety of eaters. Our table was PACKED with food options and BBQ. We all enjoyed the BBQ strip steak. The sauces gave us lots of dipping and soup flavorings. What a fun time!

Amazing food! Went here on Christmas Eve after some last min shopping at Sawgrass and it was perfect. Heard they’re also open on Christmas. Ingredients were fresh, the soup was delicious and authentic! I’m from Chongqing, China where hotpot was popularized and this place did not disappoint. Reminds me of home!!

Great restaurant for hot pot and BBQ. All you can eat at lunch for $35. The meat is of average quality. OK for the price. The plates are brought to the table by a robot. It was a very good meal. The windows could perhaps be cleaned again (see picture). The toilet door opens inwards, which is not really good for hygiene as you have to touch the door handle again straight after washing your hands. There is no toilet paper to touch the handle. But that is a high standard. I would be happy to come back.

I’ve been here about 10 times this year and normally really like it. The waitress is normally nice but I’ve seen a few things that I consider red flags. The BIGGEST one that has given my husband and I the "ick" is that if they are listed as closing at midnight, the kitchen will close at around 10 and they will pretty much kick you out by 10:30. They even have their door listed as closing at midnight. Today, we saw them actually turn people away at 10, stating they have limitations but it was only us. I took an Instagram photo when we got there and referred back to it when we were rushed out and we were there for a total of 45 minutes. The male waiter literally shut our grill off (we were still using it/had meat on it) without asking and bought us the check and stood behind me as I filled out the tip. A little over $16 for a tip for 2 people which normally I don’t mind, however, tonight it didn’t feel worth the cost. $100 for 2 people, 2 soft drinks and a tip. We couldn’t finish our food as it was very obvious when the table before us left that we were being rushed and they wanted to leave.

Tonight was our first experience. Holy cow we ordered too much! Our waitress was attentive, the robot was super cool, and the food was delicious. We loved the experience and were texting our friends and family photos. We can’t wait to bring everyone. Also, our waitress Jenny was great. I don’t know why other reviews complain about service. We were pleased!!!

This was my first time trying Korean BBQ and Hot Pot. It was an experience. Lots of food for the price. The sauces were nice. Not a place to dine alone. A nice group of 4 - 6 I think would be ideal. It felt like the servers were trying to rush you out so it wasn't much of a chilled dining experience, but they were very helpful in explaining how things work as first timers. Will definitely try again when next in the area.
