5th time here and was let down. I really despise when management cannot handle busy hour. We had never had an issue here but today was difficult.. my bf and I kept begging to change tables. Our grill was not working..it was taking so long to cook, we saw everyone else's was burning up but yet we had to practically beg for a new grill. When management came by she rolled her eyes eyes and just changed out the grill.. it really wasnt out fault the grill wasn't working. We never complain, but this time we felt like a burden. Sucks so much as this was my birthday weekend, we just wanted a nice meal and great company. After this treatment cannot say I'll return. What a great wat to treat your customers We should have just gotten Popeyes.. im surprised we didnt wake up sick.. also, we barely even got a lousy discount on our meal....

The booth we were in had wobbly backs to the booth anytime us or the table behind us moved it moved a lot. Everyone at the table asked for a drink like tea or alcohol plus a water. No one was given the water. The floors under the booth/table were slick with brown grease. The wait staff checked on us once in that time my mother ordered another alcoholic drink that also was never made and hopefully not on our bill. The wait stuff was busy flirting with the table behind us. So unfortunately I did not feel comfortable getting her attention to switch out the grill. Although in my opinion I shouldn't have to, she should have realized she hadn't checked on us and asked if we needed anything so we could then ask for a new grill grate. Maybe it's so she didn't have to have her or someone else do dishes but wow. When we were about to get up and just finished up our last thing of beef she come over and my mom finally said where we supposed to be able to get a new grill top and the waitress responded "I was waiting for you to tell me that you wanted it replaced". They lack cooking ventilation so once your grill top is burned it's really smokey. And strangely only have one grill top for a table for 4-6 people. But they do have 6 separate spots for hot pot.

This is our second time at KPot. We visited the location in DC and were so excited to learn we had one in Norfolk. It’s definitely worth the drive across the bridge. It’s a special occasion restaurant; bring your appetite! Our favorites are the hangar steak with seasoning and the garlic and coconut shrimp. We did the $5 extra to have both BBQ and soup since preferences at the table were mixed.

Hunny! KPOT is now offering all you can eat SEAFOOD BOILS!!! If you didn’t know well now you Know! 🦀🦐🍤🦑 And with the Boils you can get hot and fresh from the Kitchen all you can eat Appetizers! Yes 🙌🏼 The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. The manager talked to us about the All you can eat boils checked back with us to see how we were doing and asked our opinion! It’s a lot of food. But well worth the experience. And it’s only 5.00 more to do the boil with the hotpot. 8.00 more if you can fit all three options in. We could not fit all 3 in. We opted for hotpot and seafood boil. Fantastic and worth the money! And they offer it for delivery!! Door Dash, Uber Eats…

Me and my sons father took our 6 year old son to KPot this evening, we are first timers to both Korean BBQ and Hot Pot but our son isn’t and was excited to go again. However it was totally disappointing. We told our server we were new to both the place and the experience but he didn’t seem to understand how to really explain anything to us other than that we would order ingredients on the tablet and then kind of rushed us to hurry up and give him our soup base order. We had gotten both hot pot and Korean Bbq and ordered several different meat and veggie options. When they arrived the gentleman that delivered them just quickly tossed everything on the table and rushed off. We couldn’t tell the difference between a lot of the red meats, and our grill seemed to be taking forever to cook the meats. Our server told us to just let him know if we had questions but rarely checked on us and didn’t really seem to know how to answer our questions. He was friendly enough just very rushed and not the most knowledgeable. I’m sure it has been busy being a weekend and tax return season but things were pretty cleared out by the time we were sat. I will say that I did enjoy the flavor of the broth and that you could tell everything was very fresh. Unfortunately we were so overwhelmed and unsure what to do, especially with being told after the fact about the sauces and silverware being at a separate bar which were out of bowls and only had a couple of plates, that we ended up not really eating anything and just stopping by McDonald’s on the way home. It took so long for the bbq stuff to cook that my son was no longer hungry, just tired and ready to go. It was disappointing as our bill was $105.00. I did still tip the server $25 because I didn’t really want to give him a hard time for our lack of knowledge but I do think he could be trained to be able to offer a bit more help to the newbies. I’m thinking maybe a regular dining experience where trained cooks make the food for me is probably best for me.

I spent my 16th birthday at this place and I love how this place has wide range of food choices. And staffs are really nice and always checking up on tables making sure if the customer needed anything. Great place would come back again!

I went with my boyfriend for a date night to try hot pot and Korean bbq for the first time. Our waiter was amazing and was very attentive. The food was the bad part. The soup bases were extremely fishy. We ordered shrimp and crab which were both horrible and tasted sour. The grill left meats with the worst chemical taste. I tried different sauces and variations to try and make me like the food but I just couldn’t keep eating. The rice was cold and crunchy. The food at the open bar was disgusting and tasted like it was out there for days. I do not recommend coming here to eat for any reason. They have little to no ventilation so as your cooking your eyes are burning and your coughing with the fumes of the burning oil. It’s not worth your money. Me and my bf left with two rice bowls and one or two pieces of meat left in our hot pots and was charged 20 extra dollars for "excess food". Absolute scam for the price compared to quality. If you’re thinking of this place don’t just go to golgi guys or anywhere else.
