Came here on a whim for lunch after going to the WWII museum. Glad I did. The wood fired oysters were amazing. I have never had anything like them. The shrimp stew with Tasso was also very delicious. A few craft drinks and lunch was perfect. A great experience. It you are in the area and looking for lunch, it is worth a stop.

We made same-day reservations and were seated immediately upon entering the restaurant. Our server gave us some great food and drink recommendations. We ordered a couple of Old Fashions, Alligator Bites, Fried Boudin, and the Wood Fired Oysters. The small plates came in stages, and the timing was perfect. Complimentary bread rolls and garlic butter were provided, and they melted in our mouths. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and evenly portioned. The ambiance was lively and entertaining, and the restaurant was clean and modern. I would highly recommend Cochon for friends and couples to dine in a clean, modern establishment with friendly and efficient service.

We had a wonderful experience sitting at the bar. The bartender was incredibly helpful and recommended a cocktail that was spot on. Our food arrived about 15 minutes after ordering and it was both beautifully presented and delicious. If you’re looking for authentic NOLA flavors, I highly recommend this spot.

Exceptional restaurant. It is no wonder why this restaurant is busy despite its location outside of the French quarter. The food is excellent with service to match. You cannot go wrong with any dish on the menu. It is elevated southern cooking with unique tasty items such as the rabbit and biscuits. The brisket was also well cooked with balanced flavor. Their crab appetizer was very tasty although I preferred it dipped with the house bread rather than the toasties that accompanied the dish. The plates are hardy but not too heavy, so it was a welcomed break from the fried and carb heavy meals found throughout NOLA. You can tell the quality of the restaurant based on the pre meal fresh artisan bread served. This restaurant checks all the boxes required for it to be considered a high quality restaurant.

Everything needed a little bit more seasoning for my taste. It was all a bit dry also.So maybe you could ask for some more sauce. The potato salad was really good, And at first I put it on my pork sandwich, And then I ended up taking half the pork out and just putting it in the potato salad. That was so good. I don't believe that's an option on the menu. They should make it one. So I for sure recommend the potatoes salad. We went on a saturday night. It was busy, but we didn't really have to wait for seating. There's bigger tables for big groups. There's outside seating. The food was pretty fast. The pricing wasn't half bad. I would go back again to try something else.

The food was tasty. We loved their pulled pork dish and the grilled oysters. The fried alligator was also pretty good. I would skip the brisket, it had good flavor but didn't love the preparation. Service was good and price was fair.

Recommended by a musician friend, Cochon did not disappoint. We asked to sit at the Chef’s counter and were rewarded with a delicious shrimp gift from the Chef. We enjoyed the Rabbit and dumplings, shrimp stew and Lima beans. The rolls were fresh and delicious! Excellent service and delicious food. We stopped in early on a Tuesday for dinner and didn’t have a reservation. Will definitely be back!
