Superb - exceeded my expectations! The steamed bao: beef and pulled pork are a MUST ! Their pickled carrots are spot on. Service was quick and friendly. So sad that their closed on weekends.

This places needs to be 5 stars! Bao and Banh Mi are incredible! Flavor profiles are off the rails! When you order pork belly, they definitely deliver.

This was seriously one of the best places I’ve been to on my trip to New Orleans. We didn’t even intend to come here- just needed something fast to eat before leaving for the day. I came with some international friends and even they said it was some of the best food they’ve had in the U.S. so far (we’re living in California but have been on many trips across the country). I seriously don’t know how they don’t have a line out the door! 10/10 try this place out!

Update 6/2025 - I got the chance to try the vermicelli bowl this time, and it was yummy. First time here. I got the Bao Pew Pew Shrimp, it had a kick to the sauce. It was delicious. I will definitely come back to try another item off the menu

I ordered the sampler to share. I selected the bulgogi, pulled pork, and kfc. I ate both the bulgogi and pulled pork. They were amazing!!!!!! The meat was seasoned without the sauce. My only criticism is that I had one lonely jalapeno on my pork and even it was bangin. The cashier was so patient with me as I reconfigured my apple pay. She also held the door for me as my hands were full of delicious treats. I will most definitely return.

Amazing vermicelli bowls!! Fast, friendly service. We stopped by here on a Thursday after a business meeting. Slightly after lunchtime so they had lots of people in the kitchen, but not a ton of people waiting in line. We ordered at the counter and the lady was nice enough to explain BAO and Bahh Mi were. my coworker ordered the grilled pork Bahn Mi (aka: sandwich) and I ordered the garlic butter, shrimp vermicelli bowl. And I was super thirsty so I ordered the jasmine tea. There were many more shrimp on the vermicelli bowl then I could’ve imagined, and they were cooked to perfection with fantastic spices, not very spicy, but very flavorful. I must’ve read the menu too quickly as I thought the bottom was only filled with vermicelli and was happy to find out that there was actually lettuce and carrots, and cilantro underneath. I don’t like eating heavy lunches and carbs make me sleepy so this was fantastic. Fish sauce also does come with the vermicelli bowl so all of us together is very tangy and tasty especially if you love fish sauce . My coworker enjoyed the sandwiches and said they were delicious. The staff was pretty amazing and was even up for taking a picture when I asked of the full kitchen . I think the vermicelli bowl was a lot of food for the money and I even had a little leftover - Bonus. The jasmine tea was a little sweet, but not bad on the sweet side… Super flavorful. I would order it all again !! Where the store is located is a little tricky as you can’t see it from one side of the building and you have to walk all the way around smoothie king to see it on the other side

Pretty solid overall. Food is on the Vietnamese side — rather than the "Americanized Vietnamese" style, thankfully. Parking is fine—street side. It looks like paid street parking but it’s NOPD so they ain’t quick to ticket. Food? Ordered the pork and spring roll vermicelli dish. Strong 4 star. The spring rolls? 4.5 star ($6 for two). I don’t like mint (or whatever; never have and never will) but very good. The bao? Ordered the 3 combo $15 (va $10-ish for two). Taiwanese style and pretty good. The KFC is Korean fried chicken inspired, 5 star. The bulgogi is 4 star, solid but nothing wow. The other? 4 star bc I can’t remember so look at the pic. The kumquat tea? $4 a cup. Sweet, so it seems westernized to fit their taste buds. Friend liked it. Me? Personally, I’d cut the sweetness by half and beef up the tea leaves. Overall, it’s a solid 4.5 star. Pricey, $30/person. So for value, I’d skip it. For food, it’s very good and thus gets a 5 star — especially in the middle of the medical complex with limited food options. Hopefully they last for years bc the med students could use a place like this.
