ummmm … i only live 4 minutes away and i arrived like 5 mins after the estimated time so maybe a total of 9 mins of my food sitting and well … bonchon uptown needs to work on their packaging. Cold pickled radish was warm. I would have preferred my fries in a box instead of a paper bag 😒 the spicy Korean wings was good tho
Good very cold dry badly packaged hot coleslaw and very sweet chicken had no meat crunchy but no flavors at all nothing fries good but very cold and oily overall it’s very expensive for the quality I couldn’t finish my drum stick dry oily no flavorr and cold very cold
Friendly staff. Food was pretty good but nothing special. The spicy fried chicken is an after burn and lingers. The tteokbokki rice cakes didn't have much flavor but the sauce was nice. Takoyaki was pretty good. The pork buns had nice flavor in the sauce.
We went here for the first time today. Their food is pretty good and not salty. Customer service was also pretty good. This is a Korean fried chicken place with a Chinese owner. We could taste the Chinese influence in some dishes. For instance, the fried rice did not taste like Korean fried rice but it was still good. We ordered the seafood udon noodle soup, fried rice, a small drumstick set, and the family combo XL. We parked in front of the building, which had a 30 minute time limit meter, not knowing that it was an hour limit just across the street. So we got the rest of the food to go. We continued to eat once we got home. The amount of food we got fed three of us very comfortably with leftovers left.
Restuarant is on the smaller side, however it is very clean and welcoming. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The food came out fairly quickly and tasted delicious. The wings and fried rice are a MUST try. Prices were reasonable and quality of food was fresh. Would definitely recommend anyone to try this place, I for sure will definitely be going back (whenever I'm back in Minneapolis).
The atmosphere was great. The location is perfect for traffic. The staff was friendly and food came out at a decent hour. Staff took a little bit to get back to us to take our order. It was a Tuesday evening, 5:30 PM and it was not packed at all. I would say this is a great time to go. It started getting busy towards 0:700 PM. My favorite dish was the kimchi bacon fried rice. Wow, what flavors and textures to this dish! The only problem to this dish was the portion. For the price we really didn't get that much. I could definitely finish this dish on my own and much more. For the price you would think that it could feed more than one person. We ordered the pork buns next. The pork buns was good. In my opinion there was a little too much coleslaw that offset the flavor of the pork. The buns were soft and moist. We ordered a small entree of the wings. We got half spicy and have soy garlic. The spicy had a good kick to it, but was not terrible that you couldn't finish it on your own. The soy garlic had a little sweetness to it. They double fry their wings and I did enjoy the crunchy texture to it. It had a decent amount of batter, but for some it may be too much. Lastly we ordered the salmon avocado ball. It was my least favorite dish. If you combined the salmon and the filling it tasted good, but it definitely needed less filling and more salmon. It just tasted like a sushi roll dish to me to be honest. The crunchy tempura in the dish kind of threw me off. The pieces were bigger than I expected and it almost tasted like it was stale. Overall the atmosphere was chill, but the food was just mediocre.
Tried this place the other day for the first time and it was pretty good! Never had Korean take out before! The order came fairly quick and the chicken was nice and crispy...I also really liked the fired rice. All the flavors were on point...I def would try this place again to see what else they have to offer! The spicy wings are my favorite and the fries rice seemed to actually have a kick to it! *remember if you want cutlery or anything like that for takeout you have to make sure to mention it...I had to get crafty for a spoon to get at my rice 🤦♂️ which almost made me drop them a star...
