Ushiya Grill

Highly recommend Ushiya Grill! The meat quality here is absolutely amazing — super fresh, tender, and juicy with incredible flavor in every bite. You can really taste the premium quality of the cuts. The service is also outstanding. The staff is friendly, attentive, and very knowledgeable, always happy to explain different cuts and suggest the best way to grill them. On top of that, the value for the price is excellent. It’s honestly hard to find this level of quality at such a reasonable price in the Bay Area. Definitely a spot I’ll keep coming back to!

This is one of the better AYCE Japanese BBQ in the South Bay that my husband and I have had. We went here for a date night on a weekday and were seated fairly quickly. It's a very spacious spot. I love that it isn't smoky like KBBQ and you leave without stinking like food smoke. There are 2 different tiers of meat options, Signature $35/person and Premium $55/person with the time limit of 2hrs. Premium tier also includes everything off the Signature tier. We chose the Premium option. Appetizers and sides are all included in the price. Each order of meat/sides came out within just a few minutes after ordering, we barely waited for anything to come out. Not all meats are good until we found the better ones and that made the experience SO MUCH better! Some of the initial meats we ordered were so tough and chewy they were bad. If you know what's good and order that right off the bat, the experience will probably be 10/10. Sauces are all at your table so no need to get up and down to get your sauce. Bottom line: Good value, good quality. Already thinking of when we'll come back!

Amazing Japanese BBQ experience! The quality of the meat was outstanding—perfectly marbled, super fresh, and full of flavor. Everything cooked beautifully on the grill, and the sauces and sides complemented the meat so well. The staff was friendly, attentive, and happy to explain the menu, which made the experience even better. Cozy atmosphere, great service, and unforgettable food. Can’t wait to come back!

There was a lot of parking and the service was great! It is on the expensive side but I do recommend it. They would give you a QR code for you to scan to order. If you get the Wagyu tier, you will get complimentary sodas with it. I'm so happy the portion was so much smaller so we got to try a lot of things before tapping out. Surprisingly, I didn't feel gross afterwards or got those "meaty" sweats. This has been nice for once in a while event or special occasions.

One of my go to spots now for AYCE meats! The below is based on my first time..but I've gone a handful of times since. They do Yelp Waitlist, which is pretty accurate. I believe they also take reservations too. I showed up a bit later, but told the staff, and they put my name back on the list. AYCE premium $55/head $17 asahi super dry pitcher Our highlights were: fatty brisket wagyu short rib premium tongue center beef small intestine quite good Sides were limited, but lettuce was fresh. You can order 6 meats at a time, but you can order multiple times at once (if you order 6 meats, you can immediately order another 6) 90 min limit I'm sure it is more busy and hectic during peak hours. Weekday dinners probably a good time to go or right when they open. A few notes for improvement: -solely commenting on the diet coke...it is flatter than most fountain sodas, so might need to get it checked -it would be nice if there were physical pictures or marks/comments of which meat was what Should be able to find parking in the plaza.

It takes a lot for me to leave a review, but Ushiya Grill completely exceeded my expectations. The atmosphere, the quality of the food, and especially the service. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and made thoughtful recommendations that turned out to be some of the best cuts we’ve had. Every dish was flavorful and cooked to perfection. What really impressed me was how effortless the service felt waters were refilled, plates were cleared, and anything we needed was already handled before we even had to ask. Amazing food paired with amazing hospitality made this such a memorable experience. Easily a 10/10 I’ll absolutely be back!

Food was good after a hike. Did not like the squid, did like the brisket, pork shoulder, and signature beef. Sukiyaki was good (is a paid item not on ayce menu). very little water. Overall, a nice place to eat
