Hansang Tofu

Excellent korean cuisine. Not that fancy but the food was great. The seafood pancake had plenty of squid and cooked perfectly. Crispy what I prefer. The mackerel is do with two big portions. Very tender. The spicy Galbi Jim was good. I had better at other places. The tofu soup was full of seafood. We also had the fried chicken which was prefectly fried. This place can get crowded. Service was great and very attentive despite the crowd.

A pretty solid Korean restaurant in this area with reasonable prices! I really like the galbi short ribs they have and even though that it was a half portion it was still filling! I especially like the side dishes such as the noodles, kimchi, broccoli and more! Service is pretty straightforward and waters are frequently swapped out featuring soju and korean beer advertising on the bottles.

Hansang Tofu – The Hidden Gem of Milpitas 💎🇰🇷 This place is almost hidden in plain sight, tucked right behind the McDonald’s everyone in Milpitas knows. It’s one of those true "if you know, you know" spots that locals swear by. My girlfriend and I have been coming here for a while now, and the reason we keep coming back is simple: quality. Every dish that comes out of the kitchen is consistently fresh, flavorful, and made with care. What We Ordered 🍽️ Special Combo #35 – Galbi & Seafood Tofu Soup (Medium Spicy) The portions are on the smaller side, but honestly, they’re perfect for two people, just enough to leave you satisfied without feeling stuffed. The Galbi is beautifully marinated and grilled to perfection with that irresistible sweet and savory balance and a hint of char. The Seafood Tofu Soup is our favorite, clean, rich, and full of depth. It’s easily one of the best versions around. Pairing these two together is a flavor explosion, comforting, savory, and perfectly balanced. Add in a scoop of rice and some kimchi, and it’s game over. 🔥 Mandu 🥟 Freshly fried to golden crispiness with a juicy pork filling inside. The vinegar-based dipping sauce cuts through the richness perfectly, it’s tangy, addictive, and keeps you reaching for more. The Banchan (Side Dishes) 🥢 Hansang nails their banchan every single time. From the kimchi to the seasoned sprouts, everything tastes fresh and thoughtfully made. You know a Korean restaurant is good when even the side dishes shine. If you’re looking for an authentic Korean spot that hasn’t blown up yet, this is it. Come now (or better yet, yesterday) before everyone else finds out. Hanshang Tofu is a great spot for authentic Korean comfort food. The soup here is amazing — rich, flavorful, and really comforting, with fresh silky tofu that soaks up the broth perfectly. The banchan are tasty, the service is friendly, and the whole place has a cozy, traditional vibe. A must-visit if you’re craving real Korean flavors

We really like the seafood pancake and the speedy service. The staff is attentive and periodically checks on their patrons to see if they need anything. For lunch, we had the (#4) Seafood Pancake, (#39) Dwae Ji Bulgogi + Seafood Tofu Soup, and (#8) Half Fried Chicken (8 pieces). We like the Seafood Pancake here because the pack it with a lot of protein. The fried chicken tho, we didn't like too much. The batter on the chicken was too crumbly. On top of that, it was slightly burned, so the meat was dry. Bigspoon Korean Restaurant in San Jose has better fried chicken. The seafood tofu soup was too salty and difficult to eat. However, It did have a lot of seafood protein. As for the Dwae Ji (pork) Bulgogi hot plate dish, it was way too oily on the bottom.

Love this place! The service was a little slow, but the waitresses were very kind. The place is rather small, so when it gets busy, there might be a wait time. I recently went here for lunch on a Saturday, which was also Valentine's Day, but I got lucky with getting a table to fit my family (6 people) without waiting. For reference, we got galbi, bulgogi, tofu soup, japchae, and seafood pancake. Pretty filling and satisfying. If I have to recommend must-have dishes, it's the seafood pancake and galbi.

It was our first time visiting Hansang Tofu restaurant. We ordered the Grilled Sea-Salted Mackerel and the Combination Tofu Soup. The mackerel was cooked perfectly. It’s crispy on the top and moist and soft on the bottom. The tofu was delicious. Service was attentive. The waitress asked if we’d like refills on the banchan, before we had a chance to ask for refills. Overall, we had a wonderful experience at Hansang Tofu and we will definitely return again.
